Either Paula Patton has a new stylist, or her existing one upped her game for the 2012 Met Gala, held in New York City on Monday night.
The ‘Mission Impossible’ actress, who was only beaten to the punch for least-inspiring promo tour for 2011 by Salma Hayek, looked outstanding wearing Vera Wang.
Her rose strapless silk faille gown with pleated detail at the bodice and skirt is one of her best looks ever.
I would say it is an amazing turnaround, but I always knew that Paula had this moment within her.
The gown was complemented by some breathtaking statement jewelry and a metallic clutch.
A clean updo and simple makeup shades finished off her look.

Who Was Your Best Dressed At The amfAR Cinema Against AIDS Gala?

From her previous DISASTROUS outfits, this is a definite turn around. Though I have to say, the gown is not outstanding in my eyes.
Much better than her last outings but still not feeling it.
+1 – Love the earrings though.
WOW! The colour is divine for her.
Paula looks great. For Paula, it’s about finding a flattering gown for her curves and twins without being obvious like Sofia Vergara.
This is a good look for her.
I agree that this is one of her best looks to date. I love the color of the dress and how she coordinated it with the jewels and the lip color. Beautiful.
Wow, beautiful!
I dont care for the color, the dress, the hair or the makeup. Oh and the earrings too. It some how resonateds as a pink swan costume to me.
Yeah. It doesn’t work for me either and seems a bit swan-princess prom.
Paula looks really beautiful. The make up is gorgeous, the jewels are fab and the color of the gown is divine.
I thought she looked so beautiful last night! Much improved from her recent red carpet disasters. Maybe she is secretly listening to your advice!
Love her and this is an improvement but its still boring!!! She looks like a bridesmaide. Blah
She is finally redeemed – and yes, we knew she had it in her, but it took forever.
FC – you did AH-MAZING coverage!!! Thank you so much, it was the best way to start my morning to wake up to 5 new pages to go through at 7 am this morning. Love your commentary, may comment on the ones I love the best later today
Great job girl, take a bow!
thank you
x
But the posing…:(
The color and satin material makes this look a little bridesmaidy but she does look beautiful.
finally, a breath of fresh air from her.
Amazing transformation! Keep the new stylist, Paula!
this is the first time that i have liked anything she has ever worn! job well done
Finally, she looks great! Did she change her stylist?
The colour of the gown is too pale and it’s nothing exceptional.
Hair and make up flawless, dress boring
This is a perfect look and the earrings are amazing!
During the whole MI4 promo tour I kept saying that she had so much potential and that she needed to access it and this my friends is exactly what I was talking about! Definitely one of if not her best look yet!! This is a great look, love the colour and the earrings. She looks beautiful.
This is one of her best looks ever, true story, but that doesn’t mean I like it. I can only care for it from the neck down. Those gigantic earrings are tacky and the sleek ponytail combined with the marked eyebrows make her expression very harsh.
