The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

It was a jam-packed red carpet at The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California, with 18 more more ladies joining Thandie Newton,  Emma StoneKiki LayneGemma Chan and Laura Harrier.

Emily Blunt: I was at first swept away by the beautiful Oscar de la Renta Pre Fall 2019 tulle polka dot dress, then I fell more in love with this look when I got to the yellow sandals.

Rachel Brosnahan: The colour of this weekend for Rachel was yellow. You were slightly underwhelmed by her Golden Globes offering, so how does this Christian Siriano Spring 2019 embellished sheath fare? The look was beautifully styled with yellow and gold Malone Souliers ‘Maureen’ pumps.

Rosamund Pike: It looks like the Pike x Givenchy union has a lot more to offer, and you’ll find me complaining following her Golden Globes outing and this flouncy Spring 2019 asymmetric dress. The only thing missing from this union is some colour every once in a while, as I’m worried this might hit a Rooney Mara “always black” brick wall. Pierre Hardy ‘Gena’ sandals completed her look.

Caitriona Balfe In Delpozo – BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

Prior to the Golden Globes, Caitriona Balfe joined Emma Stone, Kiki Layne, Gemma Chan and Laura Harrier for the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5).

Accented with floral embroidery, this Delpozo Spring 2019 organza dress epitomises modern femininity.

This was heightened with the gorgeous pink Roger Vivier ‘Jewel Button’ pumps and complemented by a pearlized Edie Parker ‘Jean’ clutch.

This rare uber girlie moment from Caitriona was easily one of my favourites at this event.

Thandie Newton In Alaïa – BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

It’s clear that cut-outs were the theme of Thandie Newton’s Golden Globes weekend.

Prior to her dazzling Michael Kors Collection moment, the actress wore an Alaïa Spring 2019 look to The BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5) in Los Angeles, California.

I love the edge her structured leather bustier gives this look; which stays on the right side of sexy.

Thandie is never one to hit the red carpet without some kind of standout feature. It’s usually her shoes, but on this occasion it was a Silvia Furmanovich clutch.

Kiki Layne In Chanel – BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

Kiki Layne was at the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5) with Gemma Chan and Laura Harrier.

The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actress mixed timeless sophistication with a playful edge in Chanel Spring 2019.

The zany pattern on the blouse and skirt trim prevented the outfit from reading too maturely or severe.

Her finishing touches play into the spirit of the look without sending it too far in either direction.

Laura Harrier In Altuzarra – BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

Laura Harrier dazzled at the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5), alongside Gemma Chan, Emma Stone and Lily Collins.

The ‘BlacKkKlansman’ actress looked ready to party in Altuzarra Spring 2019.

The combination of the sequins, long paillettes and print could have been overkill but the sleek silhouettes and cut-outs keep things in check.

She didn’t overcook the outfit with her styling, either.

Gemma Chan In Prabal Gurung – BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

Prior to making her sophisticated debut at the 2019 Golden Globe Awards, Gemma Chan attended the BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5).

No matter what the ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ actress wears, there is always a polished note and that is still evident in this Prabal Gurung Spring 2019 look.

Even with the mixed plaids, asymmetry, splices and folds, there’s a sense of refinement with the styling.

The punkish twist on the classic fabric shows she knows how to keep it interesting.

Lily Collins In Elie Saab & Johanna Ortiz – Art Of Elysium Gala & BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Lily Collins In Elie Saab - Art Of Elysium Gala

Lily Collins had a busy weekend. She attended the Art Of Elysium Gala and BAFTA Los Angeles Tea Party on Saturday (January 5).

Art Of Elysium Gala: This dramatic Elie Saab Spring 2019 look evokes the bewitching glamour she is often drawn to but the muted watercolour chiffon adds a lighter note. I’m so swept up in the full skirt and layered sleeves that I almost didn’t notice the sequined bodice.
