ELLE’s 25th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration

ELLE’s 25th Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration

ELLE’s 25th Annual Women In Hollywood celebration which took place on Monday (October 15) in Los Angeles, California, saw a lot more lovely ladies in attendance.

Sara Sampaio: The Portuguese beauty wore a stereotypical sexy Julien Macdonald Spring 2019 dress, which usually isn’t a surprise on most models, but it was for Sara.

Vanessa Hudgens: The actress appeared to be edging back to her boho roots in this Alberta Ferretti Spring 2018 pinafore dress. However, I wonder if the rust-hue denim jacket was necessary to sell this look?

Yara Shahidi: As one of the honorees for the night, the ‘Black-ish’ star donned a look from the co-host Calvin Klein. The dress appears to be a simple yellow sheath, until you clock the satin train at the back. To give the look another edge, she wore dual-colour sandals to round out her look.

‘The Equalizer 2’ LA Premiere

The premiere of Columbia Pictures’ ‘Equalizer 2’ took place on Tuesdasy (July 17) in Hollywood, California.

Gina Torres: As you know from the royal wedding, I have always been mildly obsessed with Gina’s style. Admittedly, that was based on her character in ‘Suits’, but she’s yet to let me down on the red carpet. I’m excited to see that some celebs are still dressing for the current season. This A.L.C. floral dress was just the vibrant pop of colour this red carpet needed as the quintessential summer time dress.

Normani Kordei: The singer displayed yet another reinvented blazer. I love the bell-sleeves which make this Misha Collection design unique, but only doing up one button was a dangerous proposition and a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen.

Sophia Bush In A.L.C. – Cannes Lions 2018

Sophia Bush joined Kerry Washington at the Spotify and Hulu event hosting a night for creators, artists and innovators during Cannes Lions 2018 at Chateau Saint George on Monday (June 18) in Cannes, France.

The actress gave us a peek at her summertime style with this gold A.L.C dress.

I love how the cold-shoulder sleeve with a fresh, fold detail imbue classic sophistication, and how she considered the exposed button that run down the front of her dress when selecting her accessories.

Checked Pierre Hardy ‘Calamity’ sandals wouldn’t have been my immediate choice with this look, but I love how much they enliven things here.

Pitch perfect as always.

Issa Rae In A.L.C. & TOME – 8th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale & No Commission Event

Issa Rae is not one to shy away from rich hues and bold, dynamic prints, and she checked the box on both in Miami, Florida while hosting the 8th Annual Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale on Friday (December 8) before attending the No Commission event during Art Basel on Saturday (December 9).

Bombay Sapphire Artisan Series Finale: I love the intense marigold shade of this A.L.C Spring 2018 dress paired with the tonal plisse trousers for an unexpected, breezy finish.

No Commission Event at Art Basel: Weather-appropriate for her sunny, South Beach surrounds, this TOME Resort 2017 dress played on the graphic nature of stripes. The pumps left me puzzled, though, as a sandal would have been much preferred.

Mandy Moore In A.L.C. & Johanna Ortiz – Extra & SAG-AFTRA Foundation Patron of the Artists Awards

Mandy Moore has been a red carpet regular for the last few weeks. On Thursday (November 9) she stopped by ‘Extra’ in Los Angeles, California to discuss ‘This Is Us’ and her engagement.

She donned an A.L.C. ‘Jae’ top and patterned ‘Maya’ skirt which had an elegant femininity. The soft construction of the pleated skirt was echoed in the gathered shoulders of the black roll neck.

Pierre Hardy ‘Lunar’ sandals brought a richness to the separates. The burgundy colour was tied into the ensemble courtesy of her lipstick and hair tie.

‘Top of the Lake: China Girl’ New York Premiere

Gwendoline Christie and Elisabeth Moss brought suiting options to the red carpet for the ‘Top Of The Lake China Girl’ premiere on Thursday (September 7) in New York City.

Gwendoline Christie: I would’ve been more inclined to get excited about her Vivienne Westwood Couture look had the draped detail been at the side and not at the front. I’m guessing it held more weight in movement. It certainty looks stunning in the sketch below.

Elisabeth Moss: Opting for tried and true tailoring, Elisabeth kept the styling of her A.L.C. satin lapel suit simple and chic sans blouse. Subtle Jennifer Meyer jewels and a watermelon lip colour rounded out her look. This might just be my favourite look from Elisabeth this year.
