HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many more style darlings were at the HFPA and Instyle Celebration of the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Wednesday (November 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Serinda Swan: This Styland ensemble brought every bit of smoldering sizzle we’d expect from a hot-red gown except manifested in a suit, and I loved every minute of it—especially with the matching red lip and handbag.

Andrea Riseborough: The event saw Andrea reinvent her look again, as she rocked a new Galaxina hairstyle with an equally galactic metallic jumpsuit. Directional makeup and decorative wrist cuffs completed the look that may split the vote—but I think we can all agree that there will be no boredom with this punchy, experimental look.

Olivia Culpo: Some may fault the visible cups underneath this Monique Lhuillier Spring 2018 gown. But, the wispy beauty of the tulle and its glinting embellishment had a sense of enchantment, regardless.

Tory Burch and Glamour Celebrate ‘Women to Watch’ in Television

Tory Burch and Glamour hosted a ‘Women to Watch’ lunch on Friday (September 15) in Beverly Hills, California, with a number of talented Tory Burch-clad beauties in attendance.

America Ferrera: This Tory Burch ‘Gabby’ sweater and ‘Alisha’ skirt was so in keeping with America’s classic, feminine style. I love the impactful combination of black and red here—a lovely pairing with her newly highlighted, wavy bob.

Priyanka Chopra: She may have not been wearing Tory Burch, but I was still in full favour of this Vivienne Westwood, which manifested the designer’s signature sexy draping in a thoroughly fresh, retro-mod way with the contrast belt and Jimmy Choo ‘Vanessa’ pumps.

Alison Brie: With so much graphic patterning happening in this eye-catching Tory Burch ‘Anja’ dress, I wonder if a more streamlined sandal might have polished the look off better than the Tory Burch ‘Loretta’ platform sandals. The ‘Juliette’ mini top-handle satchel fit right in, though.

2017 Entertainment Weekly Pre-Emmy Party

In advance of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday, Entertainment Weekly hosted its Pre-Emmy Party on Friday (September 15) in West Hollywood, California.

Sophia Bush: This red Stella McCartney body-skimming dress with car wash slits held potential, but I wish the styling had been more complementary. A tonal red sandal like the Edie Parker clutch would have provided a more streamlined effect but I would have stopped the red at the makeup—red eye shadow is always a tough look to pull off.

Padma Lakshmi: The ‘Top Chef’ host also went bold with the eye shadow, hers an intense shade of violet. However, her sultry Cushnie et Ochs Spring 2018 floral-embroidered dress commanded enough attention on its own. I love that she didn’t resort to black pumps, but I’m wishing for a sandal here.

Mandy Moore: With a shiny new play on an LBD, the ‘This Is Us’ actress donned a Sally LaPointe Pre-Fall 2017 sequin dress styled with Sophia Webster shoes and a red Jimmy Choo clutch. The style-forward edge of the turtleneck sweater piece grew on me, although at first, I did want to remove it.

Serinda Swan In Schiaparelli Couture – Marvel’s ‘Inhumans’ World Premiere

Serinda Swan was unrecognisable for the world premiere of ‘Inhumans’ on Monday (August 28) in Universal City California.

The former brunette gave her ice-white pixie cut its red carpet debut, and methinks her Schiaparelli Couture Swarovski crystal dress was selected on the back of her new do.

Unapologetically cool and undeniably enduring, I love the 90s vibe this dress is look is conjuring up.

2017 Summer TCA Tour Disney ABC Television Group

The Disney ABC Television Group TCA Summer Tour was held on Sunday (August 6) in Beverly Hills, California with a number of stars in attendance.

Tracee Ellis Ross: We all know how quirky Tracee’s style can be, so I would say her Celine Resort 2018 ensemble was quite tame by her standards. But, here, that translated to lacklustre. But, more than that, the proportions between the gathered tunic top and the long skirt simply weren’t all that flattering.

Chloe East: With a sense of girly romance, this Nicholas spot lace ball dress was a lovely look for the young starlet. While I loved the edgy-sexy sass of her studded, gold-tinged Charlotte Olympia shoes heels, they didn’t exactly fit right in with the sweeter frock.

Lea Michele: Perhaps if she had worn a sleeker bun, this Cushnie et Ochs Resort 2018 floral-accented dress would have taken on a fresher perspective. As presented, it seems a bit oddly dated.
