Victoria’s Secret Viewing Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon feature the Victoria's Secret Viewing Party

The 2018 Victoria’s Secret Show aired in the US on Sunday (December 3), and the Angels gathered in New York City to watch the fruits of their labour play out on the big screen at a viewing party.

Elsa Hosk: The leggy blonde was oozing the kinda sex appeal we expect from a model wearing a stunning Fannie Schiavoni ‘Lola’ ombre mesh dress styled with pretty pink sandals.

Herieth Paul: Shining so bright like a diamond in a Dsquared2 silver suit, the model – who blew me away – styled her look with Jack Vartanian jewels.

Nadine Leopold: There was more magic and sparkle to be had on this red carpet with Nadine looking breath-taking in a pink sequined fringed mini by from Cristahlea’s Spring 2019 collection, which she styled with Stuart Weitzman’s ‘Bareitall’ sandals.

2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After-Party

2018 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show After-Party

The 2018 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place in New York on Thursday (November 8), with a performance from Rita Ora.

Following the show was the after-party; where a host of models served up the expected sheer, mini and slashed dresses, but there were also a few surprises.

Candice Swanepoel: The model was looking not-so angelic in Khyeli Spring 2019 Couture. As sheer dresses go, I love the beaded detailing.

Liu Wen: The model never goes the sheer route, but she did on this occasion wearing a look from Philosophy di Lorenzo Serafini’s Spring 2019 collection.

Toni Garrn: This golden girl managed to leave something to the imagination in her draped chain metal dress styled with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.

CR Fashion Book Issue 13 Launch Party

CR Fashion Book Issue 13 Launch Party

The CR Fashion Book Issue 13 Launch Party was held on Monday (October 1) in Paris, France and supported by Luisaviaroma.

Anna Dello Russo: The signature glitz of the Halpern label shone brightly in this edition of ADR’s also-signature leggy look.

Natalia Vodianova: I like the relaxed-chic aesthetic of this cold-shoulder Monse dress, but the halter neckline needed no help from the choker necklace.

Cindy Bruna: This Roberto Cavalli Fall 2018 look, awash in allover ombre shades, was an intriguing interpretation on the body-con jumpsuit. The matching bolero pulled the retro-mod look together. Few could make this ensemble work like Cindy did.

Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’

Harper's BAZAAR Celebrates 'ICONS By Carine Roitfeld'

The glam guest list of models, music royalty, and more was almost impossibly long for Harper’s BAZAAR’s celebration of ‘ICONS by Carine Roitfeld’ during New York Fashion Week on Friday (September 7).

Sara Sampaio: The model shone wore a scintillating sequin Maison Alexandrine gown with Christian Louboutin heels and bombshell waves.

Cardi B: Extravagance is generally the singer’s middle name, and especially so in this Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2018 extravaganza of ruffles and jewels.

Nadine Leopold In Zeynep Arçay – Out In New York City

A post shared by Nadine Leopold (@nadineleopold) on

Unless you are in Australia, the last thing you’re thinking about wearing right now is a leather jumpsuit this summer.

Like Blake Lively, Nadine Leopold was unfazed by the heatwave when she took to the streets of Manhattan yesterday (August 23) in a sweat-inducing Fall look.

In buttery tan leather, her Zeynep Arçay Fall 2018 one-piece has an unexpected luxe, cool vibe that gives this look a fashion-forward feel.

During the Fall 2018 runway shows, the utility jumpsuit – a boxier, often belted, and ’70s-inspired one-piece – was seen at Valentino, Ralph Lauren, and Stella McCartney, so this look is very much on trend.

Adding a pop of colour via her emerald-green Tyler Ellis ‘Roxy’ clutch and Manolo Blahnik pumps, does this look inspire you to follow the utility jumpsuit trend this Fall?

Models @ amfAR Gala Cannes 2018

With the limited showing of actresses – Kristen Stewart, Laura Harrier and Coco Konig – at the amfAR Cannes Gala this year, it was left to the models to provide the glamour.

Maria Borges: It’s been so great to see Roberto Cavalli back on the red carpet at Cannes. Maria was one of many models to don a look from the Couture collection this year. This platinum piece dripping with citrine micro-crystals and draped fringes was as dazzling as she was radiant.

Karolina Kurkova: Always a cut above, the model looked very elegant and sexy in her Miu Miu column dress which she perfectly accessorized with Miu Miu shoes and drop diamond earrings to complement the Swarovski crystal bow.

Sara Sampaio: Even the models outstretch leg couldn’t upstage the dazzling sheen of her pleated lame Elie Saab Resort 2018 blue gown.

2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Show Party

The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show After Party took place on Monday (November 20) in Shanghai, China, with a wide ranging mix of styles.

I decided to split them into categories this year staring with: My Favourites.

Cindy Bruna: This Brandon Maxwell Spring 2017 suit originally stormed the runway with a blouse, but Cindy made the look her own by opting to go without.  The excessive boobage might turn off some, but I’m more intrigued by the impeccable tailoring.

Maria Borges: I’m a huge fan of Maria’s style, but I was blown away when she opted to wear this Tiffany Amber gown which proudly showcased her African roots. The dress, the belt and head wrap are gorgeous, but it’s the ‘going against the grain’ statement which I find most endearing.

Jourdana Phillips: You can’t get much chicer than a cream tuxedo dress styled with gold Giuseppe Zanotti rose-gold sandals.

Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’

The list of lovelies at Harper’s BAZAAR Celebrates ‘ICONS By Carine Roitfeld’ on Friday (September 8) in New York City was seemingly unending, as a number of stars joined Nicki Minaj, Selena Gomez, and Kim Kardashian.

Gigi Hadid: Her hyper-embellished Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2017 ensemble, styled with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, was so intricate and powerful of a statement that it really didn’t require the rhinestone clogs.

Kaia Gerber: Cindy Crawford’s model daughter was all grown up in a slinky Kristian Aadnevik Fall 2017 mini that had her looking like her mom more and more.

Kendall Jenner: There was little left to the imagination in this Dolce & Gabbana ruched, sheer number. Yet, ironically in spite of the see-through, I couldn’t help but still get a certain sophisticated, glam vibe with the look, which I will chalk up to its silhouette along with Kendall’s Old-Hollywood waves, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, and Jimmy Choo sandals.

E!, ELLE & IMG’s NYFW Kickoff Party Red Carpet Roundup

In addition to Tracee Ellis Ross, Kate Bosworth, and Gabrielle Union, a number of other lovelies showed up to the E!, ELLE & IMG’s NYFW Kickoff Party—A Celebration of Personal Style—on Wednesday (September 6) in New York City.

Nadine Leopold: The pyjama effect was not lost on Nadine, as she wore the loungewear-as-outerwear trend in this Alberta Ferretti Resort 2018 foliage-patterned ensemble. The effect came across as polished, thanks to her sleek styling that included Jenny Bird earrings and pointy pumps.

Hailey Baldwin: We’ve seen a few interpretations of boxy, mannish inspiration take hold in womenswear on the red carpet, and Hailey’s Toga Fall 2017 plaid suiting can be added to the list. But, leave it to Hailey to bring sexy appeal to the boxy look with her powder-blue Lonely ‘Lulu’ underwire bra. Even so, the brightness of her white pumps kept my gaze directed downwards; they were such an odd choice of footwear.

Olivia Culpo: The epidemic of the blinding white pumps continued in Olivia’s look, whereby they shouldn’t have appeared anywhere near this Carmen March Fall 2017 frilly polka-dot dress. Ankles up, it was such a fun, flirty look, so it’s a shame about the shoes.

The Victoria’s Secret casting serves up some lusty-worthy street style looks

The 2017 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is due to take place in November, so auditions are already underway at VS HQ in New York City.

Models arrived in an array of gorgeous looks, but crop tops were most prevalent, which was not surprising considering having a toned tum is a prerequisite for the job.

Hailey Baldwin: Back in 2016 she said, “I want to walk in the Victoria’s Secret show, it’s every girl’s dream.” Well, it looks like the model will finally get her wish. She arrived wearing casual Frame Denim jeans with a sexy Balmain sheer crossover-front tulle crop top which she styled with a Gucci GG Marmont Camera mini quilted leather shoulder bag and Saint Laurent pumps. I can already hear your groans of disappointment that she’s even at the casting stage.

Maria Borges: I love how the model used the streets of Manhattan as her runway. She was serving up so much style and glamour wearing a cute floral romper with Zac Posen shades. I love the added pop via the red Calvin Klein pumps.

Jasmine Tookes: Even a Designers Remix polka dot dress and denim jacket can look super luxe on Jasmine. I love the chic laidback vibe of this look.
