Iggy Azalea In Fendi – Build Series

Iggy Azalea In Fendi - Build Series

Iggy Azalea made a guest appearance on Build Series on Tuesday (August 21) in New York City, where she talked about the attending the 2018 MTV VMA’s the evening before, while promoting her brand new ‘Survive The Summer’ EP.

My belief is that not much can surprise me in fashion anymore, but to see a relatively drama and risqué-free look from Iggy, is surprising to say the very least.

What I love mostly about this Fendi Pre-Fall 2018 look is that it is playful stylistic, totally unexpected and effortlessly styled.

For once I can look at an Iggy look without rolling my eyes, or wondering where the rest of her outfit is.

Iggy Azalea In Fausto Puglisi – 2018 MTV VMAs

Iggy Azalea In Fausto Puglisi - 2018 MTV VMAs

It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Iggy Azalea on the red carpet, but the 2018 MTV VMAs on Monday (August 20) in New York City signaled her return.

As this is the VMAs, we knew the studded leather thigh-high boots would be bound to come out to play at some point.

And that they did with the rapper’s Fausto Puglisi Fall 2018 dress.

I do think the sculptural, geometric design lost some of its style-forward flair with the swap of the patterned top seen in the lookbook for the bustier.

But, this revised look clearly achieved the angst-y-rocker, leather-no-lace mood she was going for — giant cross earrings, included.

Iggy Azalea In Brian Lichtenberg – 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards

Iggy Azalea made a return to the red carpet for the 2018 iHeartRadio Music Awards on Sunday (March 11) in Inglewood, California.

Many of you will remember Brian Lichtenberg as the designer who made the padded one-shoulder dress a fashionable power dressing statement, much loved by the likes of Kim Kardashian, Paris Hilton and Ciara.

Instead of relying on his signature, the designer created this black and silver mesh dress which ensured a eye-catching entrance with its thigh-high slit revealing a seductive flash of leg.

This may not be to everyone’s liking, and perhaps there should’ve been a little bit more give around the hips, but the look suited her unabashed styled and was event appropriate.

Iggy Azalea In John Paul Ataker – 2018 Roc Nation Pre-Grammy Brunch

Iggy Azalea attended the annual Roc Nation pre-Grammys brunch at One World Observatory on Saturday (January 27) in New York City.

I do like this John Paul Ataker Spring 2018 coat dress which she styled with shorts, but I have some issues with the styling.

The necklace feels way too OTT for brunch. I wish Iggy had selected a daintier sandals to elongate her legs.

But I do like the idea of the blue Flynn ‘Mercer’ bag as this was a daytime event.

Iggy Azalea In Christian Cowan – 2017 iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards

Iggy Azalea attended the 2017 iHeartRadio MuchMusic Video Awards on Sunday (June 18) in Toronto, Canada.

The singer championed Christian Cowan’s daring design which featured a wave cut-out emphasising her figure.

Christian Cowan is a master of colour and fun, and this look delivers on those fronts, but was it lacking in the fashion stakes?

I have a feeling this design won’t go down well with the majority, and that fact will be further compounded by the Barbie vibes from the pink dress, blonde hair combo.

Iggy Azalea In Armani Privé – Vogue China Gala Dinner

Iggy Azalea In Armani Privé - Vogue China Gala Dinner
Iggy Azalea made a grand entrance at the Vogue China gala dinner at the Shanghai Exhibition Center on Tuesday (October 27) in Shanghai, China.

The Armani Privé Spring 2015 collection featured distinct echoes of Japan throughout, so that perhaps gives some rationale to the Aussie rapper’s selection of this gown for the occasion.

While the obi-style belt remained intact, the flurry of feathers was stripped from its original presentation with the removal of the sleeves. But the bigger issue was the addition of the white lining that did the dress (and all that plumage) a disservice, turning the look into more fowl than fashionable.

Do you agree?
