Catherine, Princess of Wales in Temperley London To The Audi X Royal Charity Polo Cup 2026

Catherine, Princess of Wales attended the Audi at The Royal Charity Polo Cup 2026, held at Guards Polo Club on Friday in Windsor, England, where her husband, where her husband, Prince William, was competing in the match.

I know I’ve been talking about the heatwave a lot, and those of you who live in hotter countries are probably thinking it’s no big deal. You go about your daily lives in these temperatures every day. But believe me when I say this is a different kind of heat. Most homes don’t have air conditioning, there’s barely a breeze, and once the heat gets trapped indoors, it lingers. We simply aren’t accustomed to these conditions.

That’s why it genuinely perplexes me when I see people dressing in autumn ready clothes.

So when Catherine arrived wearing this black-and-white Temperley London dress, I immediately understood the appeal. The breezy silhouette, classic gingham print and timeless shape make it exactly the kind of dress you reach for during a British heatwave.

It was also a case of great minds thinking alike, because Sophie Hunter wore the same Temperley London dress to Wimbledon just a few days earlier.

Both women wear it beautifully; there’s no question about that. I do prefer Sophie’s styling with the white pumps, but I completely understand why Catherine chose otherwise. After all, she was spending the day walking across grass, and white pumps are probably the last shoes you’d want to risk grass stains on.
