Anne Hathaway Wore Calvin Klein Collection To The ‘Mother Mary’ Listening Party and Q&A EventĀ
Anne Hathaway attended the listening party and Q&A event for Mother Mary held in New York City last night.

The actress wore a Calvin Klein Collection Fall 2026 black micro-knotted mesh gown with micro-fringed organza floral appliquƩ.
I know what youāre thinking, but letās apply some caveats.
First, sheās outside, and the lighting isnāt great, and you canāt even see the appliquĆ©s that dazzled on the runway. Second, sheās not on a red carpet; this is a paparazzi shot. Sheās standing by a tree, not posed, and not set up for the moment. Third, she has a coat on, and the slightly shiny fabric could be catching the flash before it reaches the texture of the dress, which is why it feels so flat.
So yes, there are reasons this look isnāt translating as intended.
But even with all that in mind, the reality is this: the dress still doesnāt quite land. What should read as delicate floral embellishment instead veers into something between gothic lace and a sea-creature-like texture clinging to the body.
And thatās where it ultimately falters for Anne. Thereās a sense of visual noise that works against her natural poise as she leans into experimentation once again. I hope we get images from inside the venue, because I would love to be proven wrong, that the right lighting and setting help it read as intended, but my feeling is that itās not just about the setting. Itās about the mismatch.
