GQ and Thom Browne Host GQ Bowl 2026
GQ and Thom Browne hosted the GQ Bowl 2026 at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco on Friday, celebrating the crossover of sports and fashion. The evening doubled as a runway moment, with Thom Browne debuting his Fall 2026 collection alongside a collaboration with ASICS.

Uniform With Detention Slips
Teyana Taylor was, of course, in attendance. While we have seen her lean into Thom Browne’s more experimental silhouettes, she stayed within uniform code this time, opting for a classic Prince of Wales check suit. The layered kilt injects interest, while the cropped shirt feels like a deliberate rule break that would definitely earn her a trip to the headteacher’s office.

Crop Circles Everywhere
There was a lot of cropping going on with Evan Mock’s Thom Browne look: cropped sleeves, cropped Bermuda shorts, and a cropped sweater layered together. On paper, it sounds chaotic, but he somehow makes it click, leaning fully into the schoolboy mischief the brand often toys with.

Maximal Tie Energy
While Evan went short, François Arnaud went wide, long, and then some. I am not sure I have ever seen a tie quite that wide. His confidence and good looks do much of the heavy lifting here, because I’m unconvinced by the overall styling choices.

Tailoring Done Right
Joshua Hong’s Thom Browne tailoring fared much better. The proportions are considered, the layers sit neatly, and the look carries itself without trying to steal focus through gimmicks.

Unexpectedly Buttoned Up
Myha’la usually reads as intentionally undone, which is very much part of her appeal, so I was genuinely surprised by how neat and tidy she looked in this Thom Browne ensemble. It is a rare, sharper turn.

Headteacher Chic
Queen Latifah was giving full principal energy in this Thom Browne look. Authority, confidence, and ease all came together in a way that felt entirely natural for her.

Prep School Fantasy
Sunisa Lee stepped out in Thom Browne asking, “What would Blair Waldorf do?” and answering it perfectly. The look lands firmly in prep territory.

Same Uniform, Different Rank
It was interesting to see Evan Mock and Victor Cruz in very similar Thom Browne looks, yet with entirely different results. Evan read as a rebellious schoolboy, while Victor looked like the captain of the ship, in command and fully aware of it.
