Danielle Brooks Wore Sergio Hudson For The Academy Awards Nominations Announcement

Lewis Pullman and Danielle Brooks announced the nominees for the 2026 Oscars at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills on Thursday.

As these announcements take place at 5.30am local time to catch the morning news cycle in the US and the afternoon cycle in Europe, kudos to Danielle for delivering this level of glam at what was very likely a 2am start.

The actress looked radiant in red, wearing a mock neck mini dress from the Sergio Hudson Resort 2026 collection. The sequins did their job, but the satin stole is what made the look memorable.

Some might feel the stole was a little OTT for a 5.30am gig, but this is the Oscars nominations announcement. These images are beamed around the world, archived, and revisited year after year. The look feels completely in step with Danielle’s personal style, which is why I loved every moment of it, right down to her Messika jewels, with the Groove High Jewelry three finger ring standing out.

And let’s not forget Lewis Pullman, whose clean, unfussy look struck the right balance between laid back and formal.
