Lindsay Lohan Channels ‘The Parent Trap’ Promoting ‘Freakier Friday’

Lindsay Lohan turned the streets of New York into a nostalgic runway while promoting Freakier Friday, serving not one but two looks that both paid homage to her 1998 classic, The Parent Trap.

For her first appearance, Lindsay wore a Balmain Resort 2026 yellow tartan tweed set that immediately gave Clueless energy—but the real inspiration was her own past. Her stylist revealed on Instagram that the outfit was a deliberate nod to Annie James from The Parent Trap.

The bold checks, yellow headband, black Hermès handbag, and strappy Christian Louboutin Sova sandals captured a refined, preppy aesthetic that felt like a grown-up take on Annie’s polished persona. It was playful nostalgia at its chicest.

For her second look, Lindsay channelled Annie’s twin, Hallie Parker, in a Roberto Cavalli Pre-Fall 2025 Oriental Bird print dress layered with a matching bustier. The romantic chinoiserie motif mixed with Cavalli’s sultry edge perfectly mirrored Hallie’s more rebellious spirit. She accessorised with a fuchsia Cavalli Roar bag for a vibrant punch and finished the look with bold cat-eye Khaite x Oliver Peoples sunglasses, serving a confident dose of attitude.

Two sisters, two styles—reimagined through the lens of 2025 fashion. Lindsay brought both characters back to life in the most stylish way possible.

Now that Lindsay is working with Andrew Mukamal, everything clicks. He’s the undisputed king of theme dressing—just look at the way he masterminded Margot Robbie’s Barbie press tour. It’s clear he’s bringing that same thoughtful, narrative-driven approach to Lindsay’s looks, turning every outfit into a playful nod to her iconic film legacy.
