Kerry Washington Colour Blocks In Gabriela Hearst

Kerry Washington, who joined her fellow actors on the SAG-AFTRA picket line to show her support this week, opted to go glam for a recent Instagram post which she captioned, “Back to The BX  #StreetIGrewUpOn,” which is in the Bronx, New York.

As someone who loves several pops of colour, I was immediately drawn to her in this Gabriela Hearst Antonia bodysuit and matching skirt.

Colour-blocking is a fine art, just like anything else, and the key to nailing the trend is to choose colours that aren’t too contrasting.

Red and yellow are known for their ability to spark joy, and that is the overriding emotion I feel when looking at this outfit, on what looks like a wet day in the Bronx.

When it comes to picking out accessories for a look like this, staying within the colour block palette will guarantee you success.

White boots will never be my preference, especially on a wet day, but considering the base colour is white, they perfectly make sense.

I think a black bag might have been too heavy with this look, so I’m glad to see Kerry style her look with a yellow Tod’s T Timeless shoulder bag.
