Cynthia Erivo Wore Loewe For The ‘Gram

I feel like we owe a lot to Cynthia Erivo for single-handedly keeping the virtual red carpet fashion alive during this pandemic.

After her last look for the Oscars after-party, the British actress is back wearing a look from Loewe’s Fall 2021 collection.

This two-piece look is a wonderful example of Jonathon Anderson’s idiosyncratic approach to design, as the collared blouse and a peplum skirt combines the creative director’s whimsical lilt with Loewe’s refined aesthetic.

I’m not surprised to see that Cynthia opted to keep the belt.

I feel like we have talked a lot about whether a belt should or should not be included in a look.  In this case the belt was needed to push this into an avant-garde direction.
