When it comes to Gwen Stefani’s style she goes from the sublime to the questionable as there is a feeling that she’s somewhat stuck in a fashion time-warp.
But this trio of looks has me feeling both optimistic and festive.
For her performance at the Rockerfeller Center Christmas tree lighting, the singer looked like a gift ready to be unwrapped wearing a Christian Cowan Spring 2021 pink bow accented bustier.
I love how the PVC leggings and opera gloves gave this look the rock star edge that we expect from a Gwen Stefani look.
Her second look for this high energy event was a red abstract gingham Christian Siriano Spring 2021 two-piece, which I have always expected to be worn by Katy Perry.
I’m not sure if saying “she made it family TV show friendly by adding the fishnet element” makes sense, but it definitely lessened the skin-baring effect of the look.
Some might feel that this look was a bit costumey, but given the event, and the nature of the performance it worked perfectly as there’s nothing wrong with being a little bit camp at Christmas.
Easily my favourite look of the trio was this Cong Tri Spring 2021 outfit which she wore to promote her new song ‘Here This Christmas’ on Hallmark Channel’s ‘Home & Family’ hosted at Universal Studios Hollywood on Tuesday (December 2).
Bows were clearly her M.O. this week, as the top was covered in hundreds of them, which added dimension to her asymmetric top and a cool edge.
Giuseppe Zanotti’s platform ‘Bebe’ white pumps thankfully ensured that those long flared trousers didn’t drag along the floor.
Usually I’m not a big fan of necklaces with an asymmetric neckline, but on this form, Gwen is selling everything to me.
