Cynthia Erivo Wore Atelier Versace To The American Black Film Festival Honors Ceremony

While we are all disappointed that Cynthia Erivo fell at the final hurdle of awards season when she took to the red carpet at the 2020 NAACP Image Awards, she had a chance to quickly redeem herself at the American Black Film Festival Honors Awards Ceremony at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on Sunday (February 23) in California.

She looked flawless wearing a violet column gown embroidered with Swarovski crystals from Atelier Versace, with delicate tulle intarsia depicting a Baroque motif.

Some might be thrown by the orange underwear, some might feel she over-accessorized, and some might have wished that she worn this to the NAACP Image Awards, but I’m just glad she’s back on top form.

This is beautiful.  I love how the fabrication gives piece an artisan aesthetic, and how the barely-there allure is tempered with a floor length hemline.

From the colour, to the typically Versace sensual design, Cynthia totally nailed this look for me.
