Jodie Turner-Smith In Balmain – 2019 Governors Awards

I was just about to start work on the men from the 2019 Governors Awards, when Jodie Turner-Smith caught my eye.

The British model-actress who will star in the upcoming ‘Queen & Slim’ with Daniel Kaluuya, joined a host of leading ladies on the red carpet on Sunday (October 27).

I’m not quite sure how I missed her the first time in this vibrant green Balmain Spring 2020 asymmetric jumpsuit, as it’s so different compared to all the other looks at this event.

With the styling, especially the strong red lip and strong defined shape of her afro,  you can’t help but think of Grace Jones.

When you think of Balmain, heavily embellished pieces spring to mind, but as the came without adornments, Jodie created her own drama with a choker and a selection of rings.
