‘Aladdin’ London Premiere

Mena Massoud and Naomi Scott were back on the red carpet for the ‘Aladdin’ London premiere held at Odeon Luxe Leicester Square on Thursday (May 9) in London.

Mena Massoud:  The actor served up a luxe sporty vibe wearing an Ermenegildo Zegna XXX printed velvet bomber suit styled with high-top Tiziano sneakers.  I think a lot of us aren’t the biggest fans of the sneaker trend on the red carpet, but this is the type of style where this look works best.  A David Yurman pinkie ring and IWC Schaffhausen Portofino Automatic watch completed his look.

Naomi Scott: I’ll admit, I didn’t quite get this Burberry gown on Naomi, until I saw the close up.  The pale blue corseted gown features a draped skirt that resembles loose trousers.  The look is based off a jumpsuit which was showcased in Burberry’s Pre-Fall 2019 collection.  I have a feeling most will believe this works better as a jumpsuit.  And I think I would agree, yet it’s a very interesting concept. Check out the carousel of images below to see the look from different angles.

    She looks beautiful.

her looks are quite experimental. In my opinion they would suit another mysterious movies not a forward one like Alladin. Remember Lilly James for Cinderella Premieres. Best looks ever. Me thinking she drives the moods away with her looks. She is a princess in the movies. Her oufits should fit the theme!

No. I just cant with that droopy waist feature. It looks really silly.
I like it waist up though.
Mens looks a bit too casual. although I like the luxe color of the fabric.

I see the reference to Princess Jasmine in Naomi’s look and appreciate where her stylist was going with this. However the sagging fabric ruins it for me. It should have been better executed.

I’m torn. On one hand I love it cause it’s something we haven’t seen before. on the other hand I don’t like it cause its unflattering

I prefer this dress over Naomi’s last look. I like that she’s keeping things interesting.
    Mena looks great also.

Weird design, but I like the innovation. Definitely would have worked bette as a jumpsuit. I’m also loving that she is rocking “Jasmine blue” (from the original movie) for the premiers!

I don’t know, both of their outfits look a little cheap. Mena in that look just reminds me of the basic guys in clubs that think buying a bottle is Instagram worthy. A satin corset and bejeweled at that was always going to be difficult to avoid look like something from a fast fashion website. It is an on theme look though and the hair & makeup are well done.

But having tea at two is instagrammable?

What an awkward design, I’d say it’s like a kangaroo pouch but it’s at both front and back. It’s shame because her beauty look is gorgeous and the baby blue really suits her. Still have my fingers crossed for her though, she clearly likes to take a risk. I preferred Mena’ look yesterday, this looks quite casual.

+2 – also if either Mena was wearing the Paris look or Naomi vice versa, they’d look complementary instead it seems very uncoordinated.

      — and hopefully the pouch was put to good use later and used for snacks.

the design is awful and the fabric frankly looks cheap from afar but I’m still interested to see what Naomi’s next look will be.

She looks quite beautiful, but the drooping waistline and belt loops are truly bizarre. I do like how their street style/bejeweled gown combo play as a nod to their characters.

The dress looks so cheap and tacky, like something purchased online that looked gorgeous on the model but arrived looking like this
