Get The Look: Sonam Kapoor’s Hello Hall Of Fame Awards Colourful Eye Makeup
Sonam Kapoor and longtime makeup artist Arti Nayar opted to go bold for her Hello Hall Of Fame Awards look.
“For Sonam’s eye makeup, we really wanted to have a lot of fun, so we decided to play with colours. Pastel blue and purple on the lid, yellow in the inner corner and pink on the bottom lash line,” said Arti.
Here’s how to get the look.
She started by applying a mattifying primer to Sonam’s face, and following up with a matte finish foundation. She then added concealer under the eyes and over any dark spots.
The next step was to dab a matte contouring powder like Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kit under the cheekbones, over the tops of the temples and along the sides of the nose and jawline.
She then started to blend the product in circular, upwards motions with a fluffy brush. Then, she applied blush to the apples of the cheeks and a highlighter on the high points of the cheekbones.
Prepping the lid with an eye base primer like Milani Eyeshadow Primer, she then used a palette like Anastasia Beverly Hills Riviera Eyeshadow Palette, picking up a blue shade with a damp brush and apply it onto the inner corner of the eye, blending it towards the outer corner while making sure it does not spread all over the lid.
Arti then used a purple shade to blend the outer and inner corners, making sure the blue and purple shades stay separate.
Following with a bright yellow hue at the inner corners of the eye, she continued blending to get a soft finish.
Lastly, she used a pink pencil like Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Woodstock for the lower lash line, going over it with a matte pink eyeshadow.
To complete the eye look Arti used a brown kajal on the top and bottom lash lines, before adding lashes, curling with a curler, and smudging a glitter cream-based eyeshadow close to the lash lines to give the eyes a dreamy finish.
