Marsai Martin In Tadashi Shoji – Teen Vogue’s 2019 Young Hollywood Party

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Marsai Martin In Tadashi Shoji - Teen Vogue's 2019 Young Hollywood Party

Marsai Martin hit the red carpet for Teen Vogue’s 2019 Young Hollywood Party on Friday (February 15) in Los Angeles, California.

The young ‘Black-ish’ star has got some of you in a tizzy with regards to her style, as some have deemed her previous outfits “too mature.”

Because she’s 14-years-old, does that mean she’s resigned to wear pink tutus? Or dress like JoJo from Dance Mom’s who has made a big bow her signature look?

I love how the colours and shimmering fabric of her Tadashi Shoji Spring 2019 blue-lime dégradé paillette encrusted mesh slip dress with cowl neckline presents a playful, yet grownup outlook.

Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Penelope’ Pearl Sandals and Atelier Swarovski Core Collection jewels complete her look.

Such a pretty and polished young lady and already an entertainment powerhouse from what I’ve read.

I think this is a beautiful look; I like the model necklace but I do prefer Marsai’s shoes

To go from her look to the Kim look is an eye cleansing relief. She looks absolutely beautiful. I love the colors of the dress

She’s really growing up right in front of our eyes. She looks beautiful and I love the colours incorporated. I see nothing wrong with this for her age, she’s fully covered and the dress isn’t skin tight, I wore spaghetti strapped clothes as a teen.

    Cute.

Pretty! I think for me, heels and full makeup on 12, 13 and 14 year olds sometimes make them look more mature than they really are. It is a fine line, easily crossed.

Here, there are sequins, spaghetti straps as well as heels and full makeup. Imagine Regina King in this (which I would LOVE). Skating pretty close to the line. What saves it is the color, full coverage and her own innate appeal.
