If you were expecting another princess gown from Emmy Rossum for the 2019 Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday (January 13) in Santa Monica, California, prepare to be amazed.

The ‘Shameless’ star opted for gothly glamour wearing a burgundy Ralph Lauren Collection Fall 2018 velvet gown styled with gold accessories.

I love it when Emmy throws us a curve ball.

I know those of you who don’t favour princess gowns will appreciate this change of direction.

But in essence, it’s not too far away from what we expect, as it still sits in her elegant wheelhouse.
