Janelle Monáe In Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture – 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards

Janelle Monáe was honoured with The Visionary Award at the 2018 Glamour Women of the Year Awards on Monday (November 12) in New York City. She attended alongside Claire Danes, Amber Heard and Lupita Nyong’o.

The singer-actress adhered to her signature monochromatic colour palette in Jean Paul Gaultier Fall 2018 Haute Couture.

It’s fascinating to see how the key pieces from the runway look remain but she has interpreted them in a way that’s purely her own.

The dress’s longer length could be a sticking point for some, although, it adds a more formal feel.

A good compromise would be a hair shorter to show the sock garter detail.
