Denise Gough In Erdem – 63rd Annual Obie Awards

Denise Gough was in attendance at the 63rd Annual Obie Awards on Monday (May 21) in New York City, where she won the performance award for her work in ‘People, Places & Things.’

Rather than a show-stopping dress, she surprised in an Erdem Fall 2018 ensemble. It was a surprising choice for the occasion and from the designer given that the brand is closely associated with dresses carrying a dark romance.

The unique style worked in her favor as it suited the more casual event and played off the blooming backdrop. The designer’s florals were re-imagined in a metallic crop top and paired with plaid pants for a masculine contrast.

Not to be missed were the two different coloured heels. They might have lacked the punch of the embellished hot pink shoes from the runway, but added a quirky finish.

What do you think of the footwear?
