Aja Naomi King In Zuhair Murad Couture – ‘Sorry Angel (Plaire, Aimer Et Courir Vite)’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

‘How to Get Away With Murder’ star, known as law student Michaela Pratt on the Shondaland drama, joined L’Oreal Paris as its newest spokeswoman for the beauty brand back in November, and tonight (May 10) she made her Cannes Film Festival debut.

And she did so in style wearing Zuhair Murad Spring 2018 Couture.

I love how the intricately detailed bands of sequins and beads elevate this piece to next-level status, while the elegant floor-sweeping silhouette evokes a feeling of Old Hollywood glamour.

Were the earrings too much with this dazzling gown?

Normally I would say yes, but for your Cannes debut you gotta go big.

    Love her.
But for her Cannes debut, especially as a Loreal girl she should have done something more statement worthy.
and I hope we can move on from the nude/embellished sheer / belted moment.
Murad has been getting a bit predictable over the past 2 years…

All wearing the same dress. So not impressed anymore. Sparkles, and sheer.

That dress is too small, she looks uncomfortable

  4. Pheephee May 11, 2018 at 1:11 am #

    Uninspiring.

I can’t believe this is a Spring 2018 dress. I swear I have been seeing this exact style for the last five years.

She should have modelled for Fenty or Lancome (Lupita always looks flawless make up wise) as they are great with Black women. L’Oreal uses make up that doesn’t fit their skin tone. UGH!

I’ll join the “she deserves better” crowd.
The dress is too generic and whoever did her makeup ought to be ashamed of themselves.
She’s way too pretty for this.

      +1.

    Adore Aja.. but yawn.

Whatever. Another Zuhair Murad generic dress that isn’t fitted properly.

I think Zuhair Murad is played out. These dresses just do not wow me anymore.

Her jewellery on the other hand is spectacular, especially the ring on the right hand.

They’re boring and look all the same at this point.

Aja deserves a dress that’s less generic. She’d look amazing in something with some more color.

I agree. This dress is not it.

  12. Nat39 May 10, 2018 at 7:52 pm #

Standard pale embellished gown, tired formula.

  13. Alina May 10, 2018 at 7:50 pm #

    This woman deserves better.

The dress is tacky and quite dated at this point, plus it doesn’t do anything for her body. The makeup is also pretty bad for a L’Oreal spokeswoman.
