Malaga Film Festival 2018

After Opening Day, the Malaga Film Festival 2018 continued to see a spate of stars on its red carpet in Malaga, Spain. And, they brought the glamour in spades on Day 2 and Day 3 of the festival on Saturday (April 14) and Sunday (April 15).

Paz Vega: I love how Paz paid tribute to the host country in a gown from Madrid-based The 2nd SKIN Co.’s Spring 2018 collection on Day 2 of the festival. The delicacy of the ballet-pink, chiffon layers was artfully awakened by the dimensional poufs of floral-like embellishment throughout for a striking effect.

Aura Garrido: It was the captivating, inky midnight-blue hue of this Alexis Mabille Spring 2015 Couture gown that made all those sequins take on an element of dreamy dimension during the festival’s Day 2 red carpet. Plus, I love how she let the glitz of the gown do all the talking without the help of overbearing jewels.

Anna Castillo: I can only imagine how much fun this Missoni Resort 2018 fringe dress was to sashay around in on the red carpet, where Anna joined Paz and Aura for Day 2. The sash of the swish properly mitigated the boudoir overtones of the corset.

Juana Acosta: This Christian Dior Spring 2018 mirrored frock may have not been a full-length gown, but it didn’t miss any of the dramatic glam factor thanks to this modern vision of disco-ball glitz seen at the premiere of ‘No Dormiras’ on Sunday (April 15).

Aura Garrido: Also at the ‘No Dormiras’ premiere, Aura went from dramatic, dark midnight hues to sunnier cues in this Carolina Herrera Spring 2018 frock with fluttery micro embroidery. It celebrated what the label does best: ladylike femininity always with a classic aesthetic. I think she could have let her hair down—literally—as the updo seemed a bit stiff. If the dress looks familiar, it’s because Allison Williams wore it back in January.
