Natalie Portman In Valentino – ‘Annihilation’ LA Premiere

If you had asked me at the beginning of the year if I was looking forward to Natalie Portman’s promo tour for ‘Annihilation’, I probably would’ve politely said no.

But I have to say I was blown away by her look for the LA premiere on Tuesday (February 13).

Dressed in a tulle Valentino Pre-Fall 2018 gown, it’s like the old Natalie was back.

Many of you have accused her of “phoning it in” when it comes to her red carpet looks over the last 12 months, but on this occasion she was full of charm, and fairytale magic.

Not bad. Not bad. I would have added a pink lipstick though.

GORGEOUS. Just beautiful on her. Black Swan but not too on the nose.

I’m not totally sold on this dress, but she wears it well and she looks radiant.

she looks lovely! i’m glad she added a little more lining to the skirt – it is so ladylike, I love it

Obsessed with this look! I feel like she is back to form and she looks so happy and effervescent while wearing this. BDOTY contender for me!

    Stunning. BDOTW.

She looks like she’s loving wearing this and that’s so lovely to see. Her best in a long long time.

I too find the shoulder poufs juvenile and I think they are too big for her small frame anyway. I am not a fan of this dress which just seems very blah design wise. Sheer does not make it interesting.

Hmmm. I find the shoulder detail cutesy – juvenile.
This is not my taste. Its very dull overall. No spark.

If any more lining were added the dress would have looked too heavy, I think it’s good compared to how its presented on the runway. Personal best for her.

I agree there’s nothing wrong with that tiny bit of sheerness here.

Despite the sheer fatigue, I love it. Classic Valentino in every other respect, and it suits her personality. I agree with Chris, her best in a long while.

I love it as well. Definitely her best look in a long while.

Sigh, if only this were lined.

she looks great. Probably because it is not Dior for once.

Great look for her petite frame.

  18. Maya February 14, 2018 at 12:03 pm #

She looks very pretty (and gets points for lining it), although I doubt I’ll remember this look a month from now.

    • Maya February 14, 2018 at 12:08 pm #

I take that back, I guess she didn’t line it fully?
