Kate Bosworth In Brock Collection – 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards

Kate Bosworth was joined by husband Michael Polish on the red carpet for the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) in Santa Monica, California.

The actress wore a Pre-Fall 2018 look from her go-to brand Brock Collection.

I love how the vintage feel imbued by the lace, is brought right up to date with that sculptural ruffle.

This look perfectly represents Kate’s style as its oozing with feminine flare.

Piaget jewels and a velvet Tyler Ellis ‘Lily’ clutch completed this stunning look.

Overwhelming, like a pile of lace curtains.

I appreciate the risk, but no. Not working.

I agree with other commentators about the ruffle construction looking awkward but overall I do like the presentation and am sold.

For me this is 5″7 of heaven.
Margot Robbie, give Kate’s stylist a call. Stat!

No one can do what this woman can do on the red carpet. Risk taker that nails is almost every time.

    She’s so beautiful!!!

Oh no, looks like she pulled out some past century wedding gown from an old closet.

Not sure about the necklace but everything else I like it.

I agree with others. The sculptured ruffle doesn’t belong together with the dress.
Kind of “i wanna be couture” that didn’t work.

The placement of the front ruffle piece is so awkward, I want to rip it off!

I profoundly dislike the contrast between the delicate lace skirt and bodice and the heaviness of that lace (!) ruffle. I couldn’t agree more with Martin: it looks like bunched leftover fabric.

I don’t understand the styling either: a necklace and long diamond earrings wouldn’t have been my first choice. I don’t think it’s a harmonious look at all.

I agree, it looks like the dress is unfinished and they forgot a huge piece of fabric!

I agree with Martin and Schoolbea.

This is okay. I feel like the ruffle might be overwhelming her.

The dress is gorgeous and she looks completely lovely in it, but I just wish that the ruffle was a little smaller and more structured. It looks less like a ruffle and more like haphazardly bunched fabric at the front unfortunately. The necklace was also unnecessary.

+1 You’re so right. The ruffle in the front feels like a complete afterthought.
