amfAR Paris Dinner 2017
The amfAR Paris Dinner was hosted at the Grand Palais on Sunday (July 2), and it certainly served up an eclectic array of looks.
Cindy Bruna: Statuesque and striking, the French model was a study in sleek simplicity in a Dsquared2 gown that looked to sharp tailoring and a mode of Le Smoking sensibility for inspiration. I love how the belted waist fully celebrated the structured sophistication with de Grisogono jewels adding a touch of sparkle.
Noemie Lenoir: Alternatively, there was no place for minimalism in this French model-actressâs Jean-Paul Gaultier Fall 2016 Couture ensemble. I was delighted to see this look stripped down from its original runway presentation, as the glittery sequin split tunic top and foliage-embossed pants were plenty decorative enough.
Sarah Snyder: Creating her own sexy, mod superheroine vibe out of this Fendi Pre-Fall 2017 high-low dress, Sarah styled the frock with what can only be called fierce Fendi over-the-knee boots that did reflect the red textural fabric on the underside of the skirt. Or, should we call it a cape.
Takenya Quann and Cipriana Quann: Both donning Christian Dior outfits, Takenya went for an edgier interpretation in her leather-look tie top and pencil skirt. Meanwhile, Ciprianaâs sheer, blush dress with its corsetry styling looked to a boudoir mode. Yet, both were a bit underwhelming with Takenyaâs gold platforms trampling on any sophistication factor and the awkward fit and underdress of Ciprianaâs ensemble making for a clunky effect.
Ulyana Sergeenko: The Russian designer naturally wore a gown of her own in this languid, floral-festooned creation that was awash in elegant, vibrant romance.
