Halsey In Gucci – Out In New York City

Posted by Rachel Watkins

You would be forgiven if you didn’t recognize Halsey while she was out in New York City on Thursday (June 8).

She has most recently been rocking a buzz cut, but her teal-blue, costume-y wig quickly changed that hair situation.

Once I actually could get past the new My Little Pony locks, I actually found myself appreciating her sporty-glam interpretation of the Gucci floral-embroidered tracksuit.

With the jacket unzipped to a plunge neckline and styled with a Gucci ‘Sylvie’ fiery-orange bag and Tamara Mellon ‘Reverse Frontline’ sandals, it was a bold and cheeky outing that would have likewise been perfectly suited to her real hair (or lack thereof).

I can’t understand why anyone would want to be out and about around town in an outfit that requires tit tape.

Sorry, no. I just lack the fashion forward sense to appreciate a tracksuit with heels and a handbag. Maybe as a detail, as a combination to other items, but just like that, this mixture between “I’m going to the gym”, “I’m going to dress up”, and on top of that “I’m going to wear a costumey wig”… All that makes a confusing statement for me. No.

I like the shoes and the bag but not with the track suit. I don’t like the complete look though that could be caused by my inability to accept the track suit as a stylish attire (I’m not 100% on board with the athleisure trend) and the same for ugly wigs.
