Selena Gomez was the pop queen of the wardrobe change, when she wore a record five looks in one day to promote her new track, ‘Bad Liar,’ on Monday (June 5) in New York City.
iHeartRadio Studios: She started the day on a style high in this navy Jacquemus sleeveless wrap dress that I adored for its streamlined yet structured silhouette that was incredibly chic and flattering. Lucite-heeled Louis Vuitton sandals contributed to this new modern take on the bombshell.
SiriusXM Studios: The loose, sultry locks may have stayed, but this Victor Gelmaud design was more school uniform than sexy. In fact, with the intentional dropped black bodice and the long sleeves, it just looked a bit like an ill-fitting uniform at that. I did love the stellar coral lip.
‘Elvis Duran Z100 Morning Show’: Bringing that enviable coral hue from her lip to her dress, she donned a Christopher Kane slit design for her next look of the day. The same LV shoes made more sense with the black collar detail that was covered up by her locks.
Out In New York City: This Miu Miu Fall 2017 jumpsuit might be a Marmite look, but I loved it for the spirited fun wrapped up in its traffic-stopping hot-pink hue and the quirky parrot and feline motif. Silver Gianvito Rossi heels complemented the colourways, with a perky ponytail polishing off what could easily be Catwoman’s girly, off-duty cat suit.
Music Choice: From a pink streak to sleek monochrome, she finished out the day in this Shaina Mote ensemble that combined mod femininity with tough-girl edge. It was the unique balance of menswear-inspired pinstripes with ladylike accordion pleats and moto leather that created the ultimate cool factor. The Louis Vuitton sandals got another run, too, proving just how versatile they are.
This was an overall impressive run for Selena, with a few special standouts in this eclectic range of looks. Did you have a favourite?
