Eva Longoria In Atelier Versace – ‘Carol’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Eva Longoria In Atelier Versace - 'Carol' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Eva Longoria attended the premiere of ‘Carol’ during the 68th annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 17) in Cannes, France.

The actress wore an Atelier Versace strapless gown with layers upon layers of fabric which did nothing but stumptify her.

Again, I want to love it, but I just don’t think it’s doing anything for her.

This feels so below par. I’m missing the wow factor Eva usually deliver at Cannes.

The only thing I would save here are her Lorraine Schwartz sapphire earrings.

A much more flattering shape than the one she usually favours. This is forgettable but I do like the colour.

It’s really just an overdone prom dress, basically.

sorry to say this to Eva(who I genuinely love),but she looked so tired here, she was totally not in her elements.
she would look stunning in her usual mermaid gowns, but this time I guess she wanted to take a little risk of changing into this overwhelming dress, which tragically ,send her directly into the WDOTD list.
this type of dress requires someone much taller than Eva to pull it off,and her messy tresses and nude lips only made things worse.

Very dated, it reminded me of a fussier version of Kristen Stewart’s 2010 Monique Lhuillier gown. Random comparison I know. Her face is beautiful though.

The dress is too complicated, but the makeup is really good!

I guess I’m the only one, but I love this on Eva. It hugs her curves beautifully, giving her a much preferred silhouette than many of her other gotten choices. I also love the styling-hair, make-up, jewelry-all on point. I guess I’ll be a party of one….

      **gown, not “gotten”.

I guess we’re the only two then – I like this one her! Sure, she is a bit overwhelmed by the fabric, but I like the classic elegance and the great drama in the silhouette!

This looks prettier from the back. The hair and makeup could use some major improving.

Somebody throw her a life vest, girl is drowning. Not a good look. xx

    Big mess.

  10. Christy May 18, 2015 at 00:01 #

This would’ve been better on someone taller.

The color does nothing for her, there is too much fabric and the dress was clearly made for someone half a foot taller.

Dated prom dress. I do love the color though and her earrings.

On the one hand, I am oh so glad that she ditched her usual Cannes silhouette. My eyes were already in position to be rolled at the sight of another figure skimming with an extra long train gown. So cheers to a change of pace.

On the other hand, this is really not the right dress for Eva. It swallows her.
She looks beautiful from the neck up though.

I like the color of the gown and that’s about it. We dont expect ground breaking fashion from Eva, but this is boring, dated and also over cooked.

  15. shaphalf May 17, 2015 at 19:48 #

Yikes. I feel like Eva rarely delivers modernity in her looks, and this is just another prime example.

  16. Alina May 17, 2015 at 19:46 #

    Cons: dated, unflattering.
Pros: the makeup, the colour of the dress on her skin.

All in all, I’m not in love with this, but… it makes me kind of melancholic as this is so typical Eva at Cannes and today marks her 10th Cannes Film Festival.

How is this Atelier Versace? So not like the brand. I don’t like this at all, feels so outdated.

  18. DorianGray May 17, 2015 at 19:41 #

Probably the most boring Atelier Versace dress ever. And really wrong for Eva on so many levels.

  19. Christine May 17, 2015 at 19:39 #

Talk about a Deja vu dress.

  20. Marcel May 17, 2015 at 19:38 #

    Big NO. Sooooooooooooo dated.

    • Marcel May 17, 2015 at 19:44 #

This is the problem with the ” Go big or go home ” mentality to me… At some point one just loses the perspective.

    • chyc May 18, 2015 at 05:05 #

      +2 dated and deja vu.

  21. Yrliz May 17, 2015 at 19:37 #

She looks gorgeous from the neck up, but the gown feels rather dated and makes her look very short from the back.

  22. Evita May 17, 2015 at 19:37 #

This is Atelier Versace? This looks like a Zac Posen dress. Anyway, too much fabric(she looks like she is drowning in it),not really flattering and looks dated.
