Get The Look: Kirsten Dunst’s ‘The Two Faces of January’ New York Premiere Makeup
Celebrity makeup artist Pati Dubroff worked with Kirsten Dunst for the premiere of ‘The Two Faces of January’ this week.
Pati shares her beauty inspiration: “For Kirsten’s premiere, I worked off of the very inspiring Chanel Couture dress she wore. It was made of a neoprene type of fabric which gave it structure and had the most beautiful bead work, which is where my palette was drawn from.”
Here’s how to get the look.
Keeping her skin fresh, Pati prepped with Tatcha Dewy Skin Mist and L’Oreal Miracle Blur in the T-zone. After a light finish of foundation, she used Cle de Peau Concealer in Beige to even out the skin.
The brows were given strong definition using Maybelline Define a Brow in Dark Blonde.
For the eyes, she used a matte cream colour shadow on the lid and a matte putty colour shadow in the crease (both by Dior) to even out the lid and give definition. She then applied a matte bone colour on the lid and a matte taupe in the crease (both by Pati Dubroff Perfect Palette).
Next she used a liquid eyeliner from the centre lash line, extending beyond the outer corner with a flick. On top of the liner, she drew another line from the inner corner of the lash line, then extending on top of the black liner (a double liner effect).
This liner was a silver metallic – Chanel Long Lasting Eyeliner in Silver Light. Pati focused the mascara to the outer lashes to keep the inner eye light and bright.
Pati then applied a swirl of Flower Cream Blush in Petunia on the apples of the cheeks.
Finally, the lips got Chanel Rouge Allure in 217 Radieuse, a pale opal pink to mimic the opal beads on the dress.
