Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Abbie Cornish was spotted at the Lancia Café during the 2011 Venice Film Festival on Friday.

The actress chose this floral Emilio Pucci Resort 2012 maxi dress.

The summery blue and mint green printed keyhole dress features white broderie anglaise trim along the bodice and skirt.

Abbie chose not to add any accessories to her look which I think was a good idea since this dress already has a lot going on.

She wore her hair down and rimmed her eyes with bright blue liner.

I’m not sure whether it’s just the dress but I’m not a fan of this look at all.

Her hair is lifeless and flat and I think the makeup is too heavy for such a light, summery look.

I wish she had opted not to wear such a dark lip colour.

Tonight Selma Blair attended the Venice Film Festival Premiere of her latest movie, “Dark Horse.”

She wore a red Lanvin crepe gown from the Fall 2011 collection with Bvlgari jewels.

The pictures from this event aren’t particularly flattering from any angle which is huge shame because this look had a lot of potential.

I picked a picture with movement so you could see the shape of the gown.

What I really dislike about this look are those darn heavy satin pumps. They have no place being near this fluid gown.

But the final nail hits the coffin when you see the back.

Like I said the pictures aren’t flattering, which is a total shame because she perfected her hair and makeup.

Shengyi Huang dazzled on the red carpet at the “Contagion” Venice Film Festival Premiere on Saturday.

The Asian actress chose a sheer black Salvatore Ferragamo Fall 2011 dress with sparkly details all over.

She accessorized with a matching shimmery clutch, diamond earrings and towering platform patent leather heels.

Shengyi completed her look with a sleek centre part low ponytail and exaggerated cat eye makeup.

I like the dress but feel it’s missing the belt that it was paired with on the runway.

I’m not a fan of the stripper-esqe heels and I would’ve loved some bright accessories to pop against all that black.

Preity Zinta attended the “Premio Kineo” Awards held at Lancia Café during Venice Film Festival yesterday.

The Indian actress accepted the “World Diamond Group Platinum Award for Peoples’ Friendship” at the event.

She wore an ivory Gucci long sleeve dress which features a gold and silver jewelled neckline above a keyhole detail.

Accessorizes included two-tone Jimmy Choo ankle strap peep-toes, an array of silver bracelets and an Indian gold ring.

Her mixed metal jewelry works well as it matches her embellished neckline.

Preity completed her sleek, sexy look with soft, tousled hair, slightly smoky eyes and dark pink lipstick.

Vivian Hsu graces the 2011 Venice Film Festival to promote her new movie, “Warriors Of The Rainbow: Seediq Bale.”

The actress attended the photocall looking slightly overdressed wearing a Christian Dior Spring 2008 gown.

Surely this pale pink gown embellished gown would’ve been better suited for a premiere.

I guess her motto was “go big or go home.”

The pink gown is heavenly against her skin-tone. She’s really working this gown as it looks stunning on her.

She dazzled with Piaget jewels.

Selma Blair is already back to work promoting her new movie, “Dark Horse” at the 2011 Venice Film Festival earlier today following birth of her son just 6 weeks ago.

She opted to wear a Roland Mouret Wemmick stretch-crepe dress from the Fall 2011 collection.

Her body contouring dress has a gathered high neck, short draped sleeves and pleating at front.

The actress kept this vivid emerald hue in focus by opting for grey pumps and subtle silver jewels.

Her raven locks are full of body as she opted for flawless nude make-up.
