Rebecca Hall In Gabriela Hearst – Venice Film Festival Opening Ceremony Dinner

After taking my breath away at the opening ceremony, Rebecca Hall was back on the red carpet for the dinner celebrating the 74th Venice Film Festival on Wednesday (August 30).

On this occasion she kept things typically simple wearing her favourite brand Gabriela Hearst.

I love how her Resort 2018 dress, which possess the tailored sophistication of menswear, had stylish depth imbued via her Gabriela Hearst ‘Demi’ bag and Malone Souliers ‘Eunice’ sandals green sandals.

‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

Here is a roundup of the rest of the looks from tonight’s opening ceremony for the 2017 Venice Film Festival.

Renata Kuerten: The Brazilian model showed how you bring the magic and drama of a European Film Festival in Alberta Ferretti. This feathered Fall 2017 gown was perfection from head-to-toe.

Greta Scarano: The Italian actress also selected Alberta Ferretti, sweeping the red carpet in a lighter than air sheer number styled with matching satin Giuseppe Zanotti sandals and Crivelli jewels.  This is what red carpet fairytales are made of.

Matt and Luciana Damon In Versace and Atelier Versace – ‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Matt and Luciana Damon brought some his and hers glamour to the ‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival premiere this evening (August 30).

Matt Damon: The actor joined his co-stars Hong and Kristen opting for a classic, no-fuss black, shawl collar Versace tuxedo. I only wish the trousers hasn’t been so long.

Luciana Damon: Oozing movie star glamour, Luciana looked stunning wearing an Atelier Versace Fall 2017 gown. I’m drinking everything in from the radiant red hue, to the elegant bronze and rose gold beading, to the flowy sheer skirt. This might just be the best she’s ever looked, styling her gown with a Versace heels and clutch.

Hong Chau In Salvatore Ferragamo & Elie Saab – ‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival Photocall & Premiere

Hong Chau joined her co-star Kristen Wiig, for the ‘Downsizing’ photocall and premiere this evening (August 30) during the 2017 Venice Film Festival.

Photocall: The actress made an elegant statement with this Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2017 dress which is carved out with a triangular cut-out at the back to reveal a hint of skin. I love how this style sculpts a minimalistic yet dramatic silhouette with balloon sleeves, which she tops up with white strappy sandals and Yael Sonia jewels.

Premiere: The stage was set for Elie Saab to present a truly decadent gown at this event and he didn’t fail. The beadwork on this Pre-Fall 2017 gown was exquisite. Matched by a black and gold clutch and Yael Sonia jewels the actress made a great impression on this red carpet.

Isabeli Fontana In Alberta Ferretti – ‘Downsizing’ Venice Film Festival Premiere

Having officially opened the 74th Venice Film Festival on Tuesday, Isabeli Fontana was back on the red carpet for the ‘Downsizing’ premiere which also served as the opening ceremony.

My immediate feeling on this custom Alberta Ferretti gown – inspired by the Fall 2017 collection – was: underwhelming.

I tried to seek solace in the embellished bodice and sapphire jewels, which tried to imbue some glamour into this look, but the gown feels too lackluster for such an event.

Perhaps a different hairstyle would’ve changed my overall feeling.
