Nina Dobrev In Zuhair Murad – 2015 Teen Choice Awards

Nina Dobrev In Zuhair Murad - 2015 Teen Choice Awards

Nina Dobrev attended the 2015 Teen Choice Awards at the USC Galen Center on Sunday (August 16) in Los Angeles, California.

While I kinda like Nina in this Zuhair Murad Resort 2016 embellished dress, my first thought was “this is Grammys dress”, plus I wish she’d opted for something with a summery vibe.

Aside from that, the look was styled perfectly with a rose-gold Rodo clutch and Tamara Mellon ‘Frontline’ sandals.

Keke Palmer In Giulietta – 2015 Teen Choice Awards

Keke Palmer In Giulietta - 2015 Teen Choice Awards

Keke Palmer attended the 2015 Teen Choice Awards at the USC Galen Center on Sunday (August 16) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a colour-block Giulietta Resort 2016 dress styled with complementary accessories including an Edie Parker clutch and Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals.

While the look is undeniably alluring, youthful and fun, I’m not a fan of the hair.

Not only do I get the feeling that it ages her, but I also think the look would’ve felt fresher with a ponytail.

The choker is also a bit of a head scratcher.

Victoria Justice attended the 2015 Teen Choice Awards at the USC Galen Center on Sunday (August 16) in Los Angeles, California.

While Hervé Léger by Max Azria dresses are often considered dated, I love playful, signature figure-sculpting piece which is accented with fringe aplenty to create movement.

Styled with gold accessories, including an Amanda Pearl clutch and Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals, this was surprisingly one of the stand out look on the night.

Sarah Hyland attended the 2015 Teen Choice Awards at the USC Galen Center on Sunday (August 16) in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘Modern Family’ star’s feminine and playful side came out to play wearing this Christian Siriano Resort 2015 crop top and prettily poised shorts.

This was a visionary summer offering not only thanks to the style, but also due to the lemon-hue plus fuss-free styling helped enhance the look.

Hair Trend Spotting: Messy Braided Ponytails

Hair Trend Spotting Messy Braided Ponytails

Keeping your locks under control in the humid weather has never been easy; however, Nina Dobrev, Lucy Hale and Shay Mitchell found the perfect solution for their red carpet looks at the Teen Choice Awards: braided ponytails.

Last year braids were worn as tight and as sleek as possible, whereas this spring braids are going to be the complete opposite as this trend is more laidback and relaxed, reliving the romantic medieval style.

Opting for long, chunky, messy and romantic braids shows a much more youthful approach to a classic updo.

Other stars who have championed the messy, romantic braid this year, during Cannes, include Blake Lively and Eva Longoria.

Here’s how to create the look.

Create a side part and add texture with a wide-barrel curling iron, making sure to curl from the top. Lightly tease hair at the crown, then split your hair into two sections.

Keeping your hair on the side of the part, begin to braid by pulling a bit of hair from the outside of one section over to the centre of the other section, then repeat for the other side and continue until your braid is the desired length.

Once you’ve reached the bottom, fasten the braid with an elastic. Loosen the braid by lightly tugging on outer sections throughout.
