Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Sofia Vergara attended the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards which were held in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night.

The sultry star wore a gorgeous Reem Acra gown.

Her silver embroidered strapless gown showcases her figure in a very tasteful way.

She shouldn’t have to cover up just because she’s blessed, so I’m so glad she’s finally found a happy medium because being so overtly sexy and looking (and admitting) that she couldn’t breathe in figure-hugging, revealing gowns grew tired very quickly.

Now if only she would pass on her tailor’s number to Salma so they could hook her up.

The ‘Modern Family’ actress used the occasion to showcase jewelry from her own K-Mart line, which is more impressive than I would’ve expected.

Glossy waves and a matching silver clutch completed her look.

I adore Sofia in this gown. She looks sexy, but classy. This is the best she’s looked in a long while.

Demi Lovato looked very grown up on the red carpet at the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night.

The 19-year-old singer/actress wore a Roland Mouret Compeyson zip-front stretch-crepe gown with a very deep plunging neckline.

Her berry gown is actually being worn back to front.

You can see from the Net-A-Porter model that the plunge is at the back and the zipper is at the front.

No doubt the young star wanted to go for maximum impact on the red carpet, hence the gown reversal, but it’s a tad long for her.

Whilst the reversal is not a first on the red carpet, it is genius on this occasion unlike her hair which is tragic.

Ombre hair has been growing on me, but this is the very worst showchasing of this trend I have seen on the red carpet.

I do however love her glossy red lips. It’s such a shame that her hair let her down on this occasion.

You can buy Demi’s Roland Mouret gown from
Net-A-Porter US and Net-A-Porter International.

Zoe Saldana attended the 2011 Latin Grammy Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada tonight.

Elie Saab dresses are like buses, you wait forever for one and then two come along at once.

Ironically they are both green.

The ‘Colombiana’ actress opted for a Kelly green fully sequined crew neck cap sleeve gown from Elie Saab’s Spring 2012 collection.

The gown is accented with a thin belt but unlike Mrs Martin, Zoe opted not to overwhelm her dazzler with jewels. She simply added a bronze Bottega Veneta clutch.

I knew it would take something special to get Zoe out of her red carpet mini funk, and it had to be the King.

Long live the King.

Who is your green goddess?

Gwynie or Zoe?

Here is a look at the rest of the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards red carpet.

Red was clearly the colour of the night.

Singer Natalia Jimenez looked stunning wearing a red Valentino ruffled gown which we’ve seen on Jessica Alba.

Whilst sporting a glamorous updo, Melissa Marty wore a gorgeous red gown with red lace panels.

Pamela Silva-Conde was my favourite ‘lady in red’.  I adored her one-shouldered dress with gorgeous ruffles and a thigh-high split.

Paloma Michelle’s red gown fitted like a glove. The singer added a statement necklace to add more drama to her look.

I wasn’t crazy about Carolina Herrera’s Spring 2011 collection, but I didn’t want to be too quick to write it off as I wanted to see how well it translated on the red carpet.

My answer is not too badly at all.

Last night at the 2010 Latin Grammy Awards, Camille Belle wore a Carolina Herrera Spring 2011 floral impressionist strapless gown with an olive green canvas belt which has ever-so slightly been modified from the runway.

The mix of colours is perfect for this event and her poise helps her carry off such a vibrant gown.

A Raven Kauffman Couture ‘Rita’ clutch and Cartier jewels completed her look.

I’m really surprised that I don’t hate it, but I would’ve preferred the runway belt.
