Viola Davis In Escada – 2014 Emmy Awards

Viola Davis In Escada - 2014 Emmy Awards

Viola Davis made a brilliant splash on the red carpet of the 2014 Emmy Awards on Monday (August 25) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

Wearing a positively captivating shade of violet-blue, the actress stunned in an Escada Resort 2015 gown with a paillette-embellished, portrait neckline.

Furthering my affection for this look’s bold and beautiful colour story, she contrasted the blue with a deep ruby clutch, matching Sutra earrings and a red lip.

I am choosing to ignore that the bodice was a bit too snug.

Lena Headey, aka Queen Cersei of ‘Game of Thrones,’ decided to go dark for the 2014 Emmy Awards on Monday (August 25) at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

Her black damask gown from Rubin Singer’s Resort 2015 collection featured an asymmetrical neck and hemline. Additional details included a tucked bodice and full pleated skirt.

Lena softened her edgy look with peep-toe pumps, tousled short hair and peachy lips.

If you’re going to wear black on a warm summer evening, this is the way to do it. Do you agree that Lena was one of the queens of the Emmy Red Carpet?

Sarah Paulson In Armani Privé – 2014 Emmy Awards

Sarah Paulson In Armani Privé - 2014 Emmy Awards

There was no missing Sarah Paulson when she walked onto the red carpet at the 2014 Emmy Awards on Monday (August 25) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles, California.

The ‘American Horror Story: Coven’ star and lead actress nominee worked an Armani Prive Fall 2014 design that certainly was one of the more striking pieces of the night.

It’s a ‘love it or hate it’ gown that maintained the dark, gothic sensibility that we are accustomed to seeing Sarah wear, but taken to another level with the extravagant flurry of red-dotted netting that encircled the dress.

Lorraine Schwartz cocktail rings flashed through all the cluster of mesh, while her straight bob and nude makeup contributed a more down-to-earth spin for this fuzzy creation.

Hairy-scary or haute?

Claire Danes In Givenchy – 2014 Emmy Awards

Claire Danes continued a very strong ‘lady in red’ trend tonight  red carpet 2014 Emmy Awards tonight (August 25) at the Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in Los Angeles.

The ‘Homeland’ star wore a red lace Givenchy gown from the Fall 2014 collection with Lorraine Schwartz jewels.

This is an amazing gown, from the intricate built-in neck piece to the diamond-shaped cut-outs at the waist, but I have to say I like the black we see on the runway better than the red–simply more dramatic.

But Claire looks lovely and her loose updo, smokey eyes and matte red lip are the perfect complement for the gown.

The ‘Modern Family’ starlet brought the wow-factor back into full swing with a custom Christian Siriano two-piece white and red ensemble.

Another rendition of the cropped trend, the structured top took on a glamorous mood when mixed with the drama of the grand ballgown skirt.

Bow-shaped, diamond earrings by Lorraine Schwartz added a cute, clever twist, with a top-knot echoing the youthful, fun and sophisticated flair of this look. This is how to dress age-appropriately for the red carpet.
