Gwendoline Christie In Bella Freud – ‘Game of Thrones’ Comic-Con 2017 Autograph Signing

Gwendoline Christie attended the ‘Game of Thrones’ autograph signing with HBO during Comic-Con International 2017 on Friday (July 21) in San Diego, California.

At 6ft 3″ (1.91 m) Gwendoline already has a powerful presence, so why not combine that with a power suit?

Trending for Spring 2017, power suits have become the go-to look for the likes of Rita Ora, Cara Delevingne and Evan Rachel Wood.

The thing about the oversize suit trend is that you don’t want to look like you’ve been playing dress up in your father’s wardrobe. So, Gwendoline’s custom Bella Freud three-piece suit was to fit perfect with both structure and a defined shape to complement her statuesque figure.

I love the power blue hue for a feminine feel and the white pumps aid the fresh feel.

If I was to nitpick, I’d wish the buttons were white or tonal.

Charlize Theron In Saint Laurent & Christian Dior – SiriusXM From Comic-Con 2017 & ‘Atomic Blonde’ LA Premiere

Charlize Theron continued to promote her latest film, ‘Atomic Blonde’ during Comic-Con, before the LA premiere on Monday evening (July 24).

Comic-Con 2017: Taking part in both Entertainment Weekly’s Women Who Kick Ass panel and SiriusXM’s Entertainment segment, the actress kept things simple with a Saint Laurent shirt dress paired with the kick ass element coming from her sexy over-the-knee boots.

‘Atomic Blonde’ LA Premiere: Switching gears from first to second, the actress wore what appears to be the black version of her Berlin premiere look with a sheer fringed dress thrown in for good measure.

With the level of repetition, sticking to a strict colour scheme and the high level of deja vu, I’m not as excited about this promo tour as I hoped I would be.

What are your thoughts so far?

Comic-Con 2017 Weekend Roundup

A constellation of more stars were at Comic-Con 2017 in San Diego, California throughout this past weekend.

Naomi Watts: Attending the ‘Twin Peaks: A Damn Good Panel,’ Naomi played to a vintage spirit in this Roksanda Resort 2018 colour-block design. Perhaps it was the combination of hues that had somewhat of an aging effect on her.

Krysten Ritter: Taking a graphic, black-and-white approach, Krysten was at ‘Marvel’s The Defenders’ press line in a Prabal Gurung Pre-Fall 2017 dress. I love the striking attitude of the look in partnership with her ruby-red lip and Kurt Geiger booties for a touch of rebel edge.

Kaley Cuoco: This exploded Alice + Olivia Resort 2018 pinstripe shirt dress translated more like an afterthought with the slouchy, undone front and the head-scratching, chunky shoes when Kaley stopped by ‘The Big Bang Theory’ panel.

Aubrey Plaza in Topshop & 3.1 Phillip Lim – Comic Con 2017

Aubrey Plaza has also been in the mix at Comic-Con 2017, where she attended the Entertainment Weekly and FX After Dark event on Thursday (July 20) before swinging by the ‘Legion’ screening and Q&A on Friday (July 21).

Entertainment Weekly and FX After Dark: Going for a sweetly casual look, she wore a flirty Topshop floral-print romper that had its charm. But I cannot say that the white Tod’s shoes would have been my first pick.

‘Legion’ Screening: As for her second look, the Tod’s shoes again were a bit befuddling as the orange hue was a strange contrast with her playfully chic 3.1 Phillip Lim ensemble. I think it would have been far better served with a complementary sandal for a more streamlined approach. But, you cannot fault her for having some fun.

Danai Gurira In Marco de Vincenzo – Comic-Con 2017: Marvel Studios ‘Black Panther’ Presentation

Danai Gurira joined Lupita Nyong’o for the Marvel Studios ‘Black Panther’ presentation during San Diego Comic-Con 2017 on Saturday (July 22).

Donning a Marco de Vincenzo Fall 2017 dress, she played to the plucky charm of the design that fused a vintage-sophisticated silhouette with cheeky, artsy illustration.

What you cannot see here is the geometric design shaven into her hairstyle, only reinforcing the quirky, eccentric vibes of the frock.
