Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Chloe Moretz opted for a chic look, which still had a youthful flare when she took to the red carpet at the 2012 New York Comic Con at the Javits Center in New York City on Saturday, for the ‘Carrie’ discussion panel.

The young actress wore an Antonio Berardi Resort 2013 look.

Keeping the tune with the runway styling, she wore an aertex-sleeved black tuxedo jacket, a white shirt and a light-blue brocade skirt with pleats running down the sides.

She did, however, colour outside the lines by adding a pair of Sophia Webster sandals to her look.

These gorgeous black and white sandals are divine. Sophia clearly learnt a lot during her time with shoe maestro Nicholas Kirkwood.

Chloe completed her look with wavy blonde locks and smoky eyes.

Jenna Ushkowitz gave us two looks during Comic-Con 2012 in San Diego, California, this weekend.

She joined Lea Michele on the discussion panel for ‘Glee’, held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel on Saturday, mixing a striking Milly ‘Paris’ pleated and splatter-printed skirt with a simple James Perse black tank top.

A Stella + Dot gold arrow pendant necklace and black Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Hanzo’ cut-out platform sandals completed her summer-appropriate look.

Like her co-star Naya Rivera, Jenna added a neon hue to her look whilst attending Entertainment Weekly’s 6th Annual Comic-Con celebration.

Dressed in a Blaque Label colour-block wrap dress, she donned her second pair of Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Hanzo’ cut-out platform sandals, this time in nude colour later the same day.

As much as I love her Milly skirt, my favourite look is the Blaque Label dress. I love the colour combo.

My heart lifted when I saw Naya Rivera posing on the red carpet at the ‘Glee’ discussion panel during Comic-Con 2012 held at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront Hotel in San Diego, California.

That’s because she’s sporting my favourite colour combo of blue and yellow.

Joining the growing list of celebs sporting a crop-top, she styled a Razan Alazzouni grey top with an electric-blue H&M high-waist pencil skirt.

Her neon-yellow Giuseppe Zanotti pumps give this look an edge, with her minimal styling polishing off the look.

A bouffant ponytail, nude glossy lips and studded earrings provide the finishing touches.

Naya goes from extremes of being a big hit or disappointing miss on the red carpet. This is a definite hit.

Do you agree?

Emmy Rossum participated in a discussion at the ‘Shameless’ panel during Comic-Con 2012 on Saturday, which was held in San Diego, California.

The actress gave a new meaning to the power suit with her baby blue shorts ensemble — complete with a matching tie — from Ralph Lauren’s Spring 2012 collection.

While I think the suit looks adorable on Rossum and complements her sweet, comedy-driven character, her hair, which is pulled back rather severely, makes the look a little too board room ready for an event like Comic-Con.

Her shoes work well with the suit — they don’t take away from the statement made by the clothing and add height so that her legs aren’t lost in the boxy cut of the shorts.

Had she worn her hair down and vamped up her jewelry choice a little, I think Rossum’s look would have gone from appearing to be straight off the runway to something that she had put her own stamp of personal style on.

Do you think Rossum could have done something to improve this look? Or do you think she got it right the first time around?

Kate Beckinsale gave comic book fans something to talk about when she stepped out for the ‘Total Recall’ panel on Friday at Comic-Con in San Diego, California.

Clad in a Rag & Bone ‘Silver’ tuxedo jacket, Rag & Bone leather pants, Christian Louboutin ankle boots and a Tom Binns necklace, Beckinsale certainly dressed the part of a strong heroine ready to give anyone a run for their money.

Beckinsale balances the loud sartorial voice of the silver blazer with solid black from the waist down, avoiding a kitschy look and instead creating a fun but stunning ensemble. The soft, nude tones of her makeup and large loose waves maintain a sense of femininity in a look that could easily come off as severe.

I love the way the large Tom Binns necklace compliments Beckinsale’s blouse — there is a distinct continuity in the entire look.

Do you like Beckinsale’s look? Or do you think it leaves something to be desired?

Nikki Reed made an appearance at WIRED Cafe during Comic-Con 2012 on Friday in San Diego, California.

The ‘Twilight’ actress styled a beautiful pale pink Cameo peplum top with matching Finders Keepers shorts.

Her effortless look was styled with a Lemaresca ‘Le Studs’ clutch and Jerome C. Rousseau ‘Daho’ tan leather platform sandals.

Naturally wavy tresses and pretty makeup completed her look.

I wouldn’t change a thing. Would you?
