Candy Crush x Moschino Coachella Party

Coachella is never lacking in revelry and festivities, but the Candy Crush x Moschino Desert Party on Saturday (April 15) was one for the books. Hosted by Moschino designer Jeremy Scott, the fancifully colouful fete served to introduce his latest capsule collection with the addictive mobile game.

Katy Perry: Naturally, Jeremy Scott’s good friend Katy Perry would be in attendance—and dressed for the occasion. Rocking an even shorter platinum pixie, she wore a cropped version of a colourful Moschino Fall 2017 neon fur coat that must have been quite hot. No matter, she kept her cool with a metallic Moschino sports bra underneath and lime-green sunnies.

Serayah McNeill: Like Katy, Serayah also found inspiration in a jacket piece, hers a long, crochet number from the Moschino Fall 2017 collection. While her black and white bra top, orange shorts, and handbag were well-coordinated, the same cannot exactly be said for those furry flatforms that stuck out for all the wrong reasons.

Charli XCX: Looking every bit like she could run a post-party marathon in this Moschino look, the entertainer kept it brief in hot pants and a crop top, strewn with word art and messaging. Neon Nike sneakers drove home the athletic appeal.

Rihanna In Gucci – Coachella 2017

All that glitters wasn’t gold, it was Rihanna at Coachella 2017 on Saturday (April 15) in California.

The desert music fest is known for its statement looks, and RiRi was at the top of the list this past weekend with her Gucci Fall 2017 getup.

Skipping the Coachella uniform of boho fringe, feathers, and boots, she served up her distinct fusion of rebellious glamour in the sparkling bodysuit topped by the logo tank and denim cutoffs as presented on the runway.

Flatform, lug-sole shoes added punk-ish flair, with embellished sunglasses oozing with another layer of pure attitude.

Diane Kruger In Equipment – Coachella Music Festival Weekend 2

Diane Kruger In Equipment - Coachella Music Festival Weekend 2

Perhaps in a deliberate attempt to avoid the circus of weekend one, Diane Kruger and beau Joshua Jackson attended the second weekend of Coachella Music Festival on Friday (April 17) in Indio, California.

Forgoing the over-played fringe trend of weekend one, the German beauty made animal prints the focus, wearing an Equipment Lucida shirt dress rendered in richly detailed leopard print, which adds an exotic cool touch to its classic tailoring.

The look was styled with a green infantry jacket providing a buffer between her shirt dress and python Jason Wu ‘Diane’ bag created in her honour. Like Jason’s muse, the bag is both sophisticated and timelessly chic.

Valentino Aphrodite leather gladiator sandals completed her Coachella look.

You thought the majority from weekend one looked like they were in costumes, so how does Diane’s more effortless look fare?

2015 Coachella Music Festival Style Roundup

Coachella 1

When it comes to the Coachella Music Festival, boho style reigns supreme—right down to the ubiquitous flower crowns. This past weekend brought out a full range of Coachella cool-kids who marched to the beat of their own hippie drum in Indio, California.

Kendall Jenner: Infusing her Day 1 Coachella style with decidedly western appeal, the model paired her Derek Lam 10 Crosby Spring 2015 suede vest with a striped bikini top, ripped jorts, and Saint Laurent snakeskin booties. A tribal collar necklace and stacks of bangles took the look to the next level with a typical fringe hobo bag rounding it out.

Alessandra Ambrosio: Channeling her inner cowgirl during the fest and at the Forever 21 BBQ, the Brazilian supermodel naturally wore a skin-is-in look anchored by her Forever 21 suede fringe halter top and teeny cutoff denim shorts. I loved the addition of her turquoise jewelry, tall cowboy boots, and wide-brimmed cowboy hat for plenty of kitschy fun.

Gigi Hadid: Rocking another look with plenty of fringe benefits, Gigi was spotted on Day 2, where she added chains and charm to her ensemble consisting of an ASOS fringe suede collar, black cutoffs, a Guess body chain, and H&M ankle boots. With her long blonde windswept waves, she managed to put an adorable spin on Coachella dressing.

Alexa Chung In Chloé – Refinery29 x AOK Present: Paradiso

Alexa Chung In Chloé - Refinery29 x AOK Present Paradiso

Alexa Chung was the guest DJ for the Refinery29 x AOK event on Saturday (April 11) in Palm Springs, California.

Wearing a Chloe Spring 2015 chiffon sheer dress, I love this take on soft femininity for the self-confessed tom-boy.

I can’t help but be swept away by the dress’ bohemian sensibilities, especially when paired with a skull accented necklace.

Kate Bosworth’s 2015 Coachella Music Festival Style

Kate Bosworth's 2015 Coachella Style

Kate Bosworth has long been the queen of Coachella, leading the way when it comes to boho dressing, but for this years festival I felt like she has evolved, passed the denim shorts and fringe hobo bags to a style that had more finesse and more polish.

Some might argue that isn’t what Coachella is about, but I’m totally enamoured by both looks.

Coach Backstage Party: Wearing all white save for her tan sandals, I like how her lace up white Equipment ‘Knox’ shirt gives a slight ’70s folklore vibe to her modern look.

The Empire Polo Club: This was my favourite look of the two, as I love the styling of her white Kempner ‘Barbell’ T-Shirt dress with the Navajo inspired Etro jacket, self-designed western-inspired studded boots and Coach ‘Rivets Dakotah’ bag from the previous look.

In interviews, Kate claims that her Coachella looks were thrown together last minute, but I think it’s clear a lot of time, effort and planning went into these looks. Not that that’s a bad thing.
