Zhang Ziyi In Marc Bouwer – ‘The Grandmasters’ Hong Kong Premiere

Zhang Ziyi took to the red carpet at the at iSQUARE Shopping Centre in Hong Kong yesterday evening for the premiere of her latest project, ‘The Grandmasters’.

She’s got it bad: an addiction to all things Marc Bouwer.

Since last year, the actress has worn several of the designer’s pieces; this time she went back into the archives to don this striking Spring 2011 dress.

The psychedelic explosion of prints and colours is outstanding. This was yet another risk for Zhang Ziyi that paid off.

Her high-neck, bold-shoulder look was paired with her favourite YSL nude ‘Tribute’ pumps and her favourite centre-parted bun.

Angelababy In Chanel – Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards

One of our favourite Asian stars of 2012, Angelababy, also attended the Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards held at China World Hotel Beijing in China yesterday evening.

Sporting a newly-dyed light-brown hair colour, the actress/model wore a Chanel Resort 2013 dress.

We’ve seen a few of these Chanel Resort 2013 dresses with exaggerated hips on the red carpet, but this has to be one of my favourites.

Between the rich embroidery and Angelababy’s sweet pose contrasted with edgy spiked Louboutin bow- front peep-toes, there isn’t much I can fault with this dainty look with an edge.

You may remember that Diane Kruger wore this same dress last year.

Zhang Zilin In Dolce & Gabbana – Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards

Zhang Zilin attended the Sohu Fashion Achievement Awards held at China World Hotel Beijing in China yesterday evening.

Here we have our first look at the Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 collection on the red carpet. It’s interesting how Asian stars are getting the jump on Hollywood for these new pieces.

The model and former Miss World 2007 winner wore a Trio of Knights printed three-quarter-length-sleeve dress which was full of colour and intrigue, so I guess she made the right choice opting for simple accessories.

Black pumps and a Dolce & Gabbana ‘Ingrid’ top-handle black bag completed her look.

Some of you were unsure how this collection would work off the runway. What are your first impressions?

Zhang Ziyi continues to leave me in awe of her red carpet choices.

On Sunday she attended two press conferences held at the Marriott Hotel in Beijing, China for her latest project ‘The Grandmasters’ sporting two very different looks.

Starting with my favourite: she donned a super-chic Georges Chakra Fall 2012 Couture black-and-white look with a PVC dress and flowing cape.

This look is so edgy, sexy and modern that I can totally forgive those clunky Giuseppe Zanotti triple-stacked platform peep-toes. Continue reading →

Pace Wu In Rue du Mail – ‘Brand’ Magazine Party

Pace Wu made her first appearance on the red carpet this year at the ‘Brand’ magazine party in Taiwan this week.

In a poll conducted by the magazine, they found that a Hermes ‘Birkin’ bag was the favourite bag among their readers, so the actress/model carried a pink croc ‘Birkin’ whilst wearing a Rue du Mail Spring 2013 dress at the event.

Her ivory silk-georgette shift dress with razor-sharp cut-outs was styled with matching satin Jimmy Choo ‘Greta’ ankle-strap platform peep-toes.

A divine gold necklace, pretty pink nails to match her lips, and her Birkin, along with a quiffed ponytail, completed her sugary-sweet look.

2012 KBS Drama Awards

The 2012 KBS Drama Awards took place at the KBS Hall in Seoul, South Korea on Monday.

Park Si-Yeon: The actress kept her look simple and elegant, wearing a Ralph Lauren Fall 2012 black floor-length dress with a sweetheart neckline which she styled with a gold Ralph Lauren ‘Karung’ serpent clutch and a beautiful gold statement necklace. The only change I would make here is to remove the watch.

Kim Nam: The actress also wore black, opting for a gorgeous Roland Mouret ‘Hexam’ draped gown with a delicate lace bodice and artfully draped skirt. She styled her look with silver jewels and a black crocodile clutch, with her hair elegantly swept up to show off that pretty neckline.

Miss A’s Suzy: The girl-band singer also wore black, selecting a Dsquared² Fall 2012 dress. The sexy LBD with an open back and feather peplum was sent down the runway as a gown. Suzy added a touch of sparkle to the look with crystal-embellished gold Louboutin peep-toes.
