Lin Chi-ling In Versace – ‘The Monkey King 3’ Beijing Press Conference

Lin Chi-ling joined Zhao Liying for the press conference of ‘The Monkey King 3’ on Saturday (April 15) in Beijing, China.

The beautiful actress donned Versace Spring 2017 from head-to-toe.

I love how the look takes its style cues from the strength the labels sultry energy and simplicity of sporty athleisure wear, however, I’m not fond of her styling.

The black sandals feel too heavy in comparison to the dual colour on the runway.

Zhao Liying In Christian Dior – ‘The Monkey King 3’ Beijing Press Conference

Zhao Liying attended the press conference of ‘The Monkey King 3’ on Saturday (April 15) in Beijing, China.

We may be perplexed by the logo bra and boy shorts with tulle gowns presented by Dior, but celebs just can’t seem to get enough of them.

They seem to be enamoured by the sporty or edgy feel it gives the delicate gowns; a juxtaposition we often see worn by brand ambassador Rihanna.

If you’re not comfortable with this trend I suggest you buckle up, as I’m sure this is just the tip of the iceberg and there’s plenty more to come.

Zhang Yuqi In Zuhair Murad Couture – 2017 Hong Kong Film Awards

Zhang Yuqi joined Zhang Ziyi and a few others at the 2017 Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9).

We saw a couple of repeat looks at this event, but not so for Zhang who went for a rather extravagant ensemble from the Zuhair Murad Spring 2017 Couture collection.

The drama of this look was clearly swept up in the voluminous proportions of the high-low coat, which could have easily been mistaken for a ball gown from the back, and its colourful embellishment. The white trousers were clearly meant to disappear into the identical hue of the coat’s lining.

With so much of a decorative statement, I would have left the curvaceous diamond earrings to enhance a more minimalist outing.

2017 Hong Kong Film Awards Red Carpet Roundup

A few other stars joined Zhang Ziyi at the 2017 Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9).

Irene Wan Bik-ha: Irene found inspiration in a Christian Dior Spring 2017 gown that featured the stenciled tarot card drawings seen throughout the collection. I think I would have liked this better with a sleeker ’do.

Lin Yun: You may remember Lin’s Chanel Pre-Fall 2017 floral-embellished gown from earlier this year when Janelle Monae wore it at the 2017 SAG Awards. I’m glad the neck piece and wrist cuffs were removed this time to simplify the decorative look.

Janice Man: Another repeat gown appearance came from Janice in this Louis Vuitton Spring 2017 design, previously worn by Sophie Turner. Not many of you loved the spliced, sheer design on Sophie, so does this outing fare any better?

Zhang Ziyi In Alberta Ferretti – 2017 Hong Kong Film Awards

Zhang Ziyi attended the 2017 Hong Kong Film Awards on Sunday (April 9).

With a look that provided a more casual perspective on a black ball gown, this Alberta Ferretti Spring 2017 number had something of a ripped-from-the-prairie vibe—all buckled up in a cowgirl belt.

Seeking a glam edge, as we’d expect from the Asian actress, she added Tiffany & Co. jewels that could have been deemed a bit extravagant for the look. Yet you could say the necklace was in a lasso-style lariat shape so it somewhat fit the bill.

Fan Bingbing In Louis Vuitton – ‘The Amazing Race China’ Press Conference

Fresh from her best actress win at the 11th annual Asian Film Awards, Fan Bingbing was back on the red carpet for ‘The Amazing Race China’ press conference yesterday (March 23).

Known as the queen of princess gowns, the actress does surprise us from time to time; and this would be one of those rare occasions.

Her Louis Vuitton Spring 2017 suit with oversized proportions was all business, yet I love how she added a pair of Tuleste pom pom earrings to lighten the mood.

The platform Giuseppe Zanotti sandals are of course expected, yet they coordinate well with her look.

You weren’t fans (no pun intended) of her Elie Saab Couture look, so how does this look fare?
