Monique Lhuillier, who is a red carpet favourite of America Ferrera, produced an outstanding Fall collection. Monique tends to us a lot of chiffon in her designs, but it was kept to a minimum as she used tulle, silk, lace, embroidered velvet, fur, ostrich feathers, metallics and jacquard.

Monique is best known as a bridal designer, but her designs for this Fall collection had red carpet glamour written all over them.

Embellishment were used on most pieces to give them that ’stand on the out red carpet’ look that Monique’s celebrity clients are looking for.

My favourite piece was the black-and-grey ombre fur trimmed jacket with the grey pencil skirt, along with the fully embellished sheath dress.

You can view the whole collection here.

Amy Smart was not so smart to wearing this hideous coat.

Sophia and Becki Newton showed their support for Monique’s fantastic collection.

The Proenza Schouler collection included mini-dresses, metallic coats, mixed-fabric garments and a palette of mustard yellow, purple, green, blue, black, grey and winter whites.

My favourite pieces were the violet folded jacket and the winter white blouse with an oversized bow and the slouchy pants.

This collection was very much for the downtown-minded twenty-something glamour girls, but also the uptown fashion-forward moneyed set, yes women I envy.

Rihanna wore this Proenza Schouler Spring 2008 ensemble which I love, but the orange shoes were just too much for me.

Amy Adams wore this copper sequined Proenza Schouler Pre-Fall 2008 dress with tulle underly, which look gorgeous on her with her strawberry blonde hair.

Angie Harmon was impeccable as ever wearing a feathered one-shouldered olive satin Proenza Schouler Spring 2008 mini dress over opaque tights.

I love how sleek her hair looks.

I fell in love with Tia Cibani, Ports 1961 collection last season and she has made me fall in love again with her Fall collection.

The palette was emerald green, aubergine, midnight blue, black, gold, red and grey.

There were lots of nipped in waists, (which is now becoming a theme at this fashion week), caped shoulders, furs, long fingerless gloves and embellishments.

I particularly loved the green tasseled coat.

Mandy Moore was at the show wearing a stunning ombre Ports 1961 Spring 2008 dress.

Sophia Bush looks very sophisticated in this grey dress with her YSL Tribute pumps.

We should all get down to the gym because according to Max Azria we should all have tiny waists to fit into his many corseted belts on display with his Fall collection.

As with many of the other Fall collections the palette consisted of midnight blues, mustards, greys and beiges.

My favourite was the taffeta mocha ensemble on the top right. This folded detailing on the necklines was consistent with other pieces.

You can view the whole collection here.

Rihanna looks stunning as ever with her new crop do wearing a large checked shawl from Max Azria Fall 2007 collection.

Fergie decided to there was too much sun in the room.

The only thing I like on Brittany Murphy here is her Chanel pearls. Everything else for me is a mess, despite it all being black.

What happened to the vamp?

Rose McGowan is playing it rather cool and subdued these days. Has her new man mellowed her?

Joss Stone manages to pick one of the less flattering outfits from Maz Azria’s Spring 2008 collection. She just can’t get it right, which is why I will be continually baffled by her attendance at these shows.

Catherine Malandrino’s show was full of emerald greens, petrol blues, olives and lemons.

The silhouettes were slim, but the bags and belts were big.

I particularly loved the velvet pieces, which came in jackets and coats in caramel and grey.

You can view the whole Malandrino collection here.

I want Sophia’s Bush’s tickets and her free clothes. Sophia is wearing a dress from the Malandrino Fall 2007 collection.

She has now officially become the front row queen, appearing at more shows than anyone else.

I love Ally Hilfiger’s red tipped shoes which match her red Malandrino dress.

Jill Stuart outfits included a grey wool hooded poncho paired with a matching military-style top with gold buttons and a matching skirt, a satin shirts and dresses, handbags around the waist an knee high boots for most outfits.

There were lots of blues and greys, adding a bit of color to Stuart’s signature black Goth look.

You can view the whole collection here.

Angie Harmon keeps it simple in head to toe black.

Tinsley Mortimer is as impeccably dressed as ever.

Carolina Herrera’s show included riding pants, tweed vests, hunting jackets, taffeta cocktail dresses and woolly zip front sweaters.

Not only did models have feathers in their fedora’s, but also on the collar of dresses and lapels, giving nods that this collection was inspired by the countryside.

The colour palette was mustard, rust, amber and silver.

This collection is for the exceptionally wealthy woman, with exceptionally sophisticated taste.

You can view the whole collection here.

Tyra Banks takes in this show with her fellow ANTM judge Nigel Barker.

Vanessa Carlton in a cobalt blue kimono sleeved dress, checks out what could be in her closet this Fall.

Hilary Swank just looks happy to be there.

Amy Smart should have looked in the mirror and adjusted her coat before posing for this picture. She has decided to curl her hair which has given it more body than it has had over the previous days.
