'Man of Steel' London Premiere Menswear Round Up

The male stars of ‘Man of Steel’ joined Amy Adams and Antje Traue on the red carpet this evening at the Odeon Leicester Square for the London premiere.

Henry Cavill: The British actor opted to wear yet another Tom Ford suit, this time donning a midnight-blue Prince of Wales check three-piece suit styled with a matching tie and white dress shirt. Many of you were able to see beyond his dashing good looks to notice that his previous look didn’t fit perfectly. While I wouldn’t class this as perfect, I think the overall look is much improved.

Michael Shannon: The actor wore a white pocket square from The Tie Bar with his Thomas Pink grey Prince of Wales ‘Weatherly’ suit, which was styled with a white shirt and cufflinks by the same brand. Due to the pant length and shape of his Allen Edmond loafers, we can see Michael’s colourful purple socks by Happy Socks. It appears that Michael likes to add a pop of colour to his look. Last time it was a white sole on his shoes; this time it’s socks.

Russell Crowe: The Australian actor was the only one who wore a coat. The black overcoat was worn with an ink-blue two-button suit and light-blue shirt, which he again opted to wear sans tie.

Henry Cavill In Tom Ford - ‘Man of Steel’ World Premiere

Henry Cavill joined his co-star Amy Adams on the red carpet at Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center in New York City on Monday evening for the ‘Man Of Steel’ world premiere.

Looking very handsome and debonair wearing a Tom Ford slate-grey two-button suit, the actor styled it with a white dress shirt, white pocket square and black tie.

The only thing I would possibly change about this look is the tie; it feels a tad too wide. However, the actor does possess a relatively wide torso so the tie does balance out the look I guess.

Gina Carano's 'Fast & Furious 6' Promo Tour

The ‘Fast & Furious 6’ had its final stop on its world tour yesterday evening in Universal City, California. One of the main stars, Gina Carano, had three great looks during the tour.

London Premiere: Earlier this month, Gina was in London, saluting our fine city wearing a look from the Vivienne Westwood Couture collection which was custom made for the actress. The signature gunmetal-blue sequin gown was styled with an ombre top knot and palladium jewels.

Manila Premiere: The second stop was the Philippines, where Gina wore a Tom Ford bias-cut black gown with a high-low hemline styled with black-and-gold Givenchy sandals, an Amanda Pearl clutch and Melinda Maria earrings.

LA Premiere: Going out with a bang, Gina’s gorgeous curves were showcased wearing a white Amanda Wakeley plunging gown with gunmetal beaded embellishments and a high-low hem with a layered train. With the risen hemline we were able to take a gander at her gunmetal Rupert Sanderson sandals, which perfectly complemented the beaded details on her gown, as did her Christian Louboutin silver fishnet clutch and Dana Rebecca Designs and palladium jewels.

The Burberry is a simple yet elegant gown. The Westwood is nothing we haven’t seen before, even though I love the look, so my favourite here is the Amanda Wakeley. It’s the most unique of the three, it’s soft and feminine with an edge, plus it has reignited my love for embellishments.

British Academy Television Awards 2013 Menswear

There were also many bespoke-suit-wearing blokes who took to the red carpet on Sunday evening for the British Academy Television Awards 2013, held at the Royal Festival Hall in London.

Jamie Redknapp: We of course have to start with the very handsome Jamie, who joined his beautiful wife Louise at this event. The former footballer, who still retains his boyish good looks, wore a Thom Sweeney bespoke midnight blue mohair three-piece suit featuring a shawl lapel, with a white dress shirt and a bow tie. You may remember that Luke Evans wore a suit by the same designer with a similar low-cut waistcoat to the ‘Fast & Furious 6’ world premiere last week.

Dermot O’Leary: Opting for a much smaller bow tie, Dermot O’Leary selected a two-piece Rake midnight-blue suit with a black satin shawl collar, styled with a white dress shirt and white pocket square.

Damien Lewis: The actor, who joined his wife Helen McCrory on the red carpet, wore a two-button suit with slim-fit pants from his go-to brand Burberry. Unlike some of the guys, who selected white pocket squares at this event, Damien opted for black.

Model @ The 2013 Met Gala

Here is a roundup of the models who took to the red carpet at the 2013 Met Gala on Monday night.

Cara Delevingne: Wearing Burberry, the British model nailed the theme, working a studded navy column dress with a plunging neckline. Her part-braided ‘do and studded clutch perfected her look. She was easily one of the best on the night.

Gisele Bundchen: The model wore an Anthony Vaccarello Fall 2013 black mini dress with revealing grommet detailing. You slammed Gwyneth for wearing a gown with sheer sides; does Gisele get a pass?

Karlie Kloss: I never thought I would say this about Karlie: she looks frumpy. Ever since she chopped off her locks she has lost her mojo. This Louis Vuitton granny-chic look ages her about 40 years. Betty White would look better in this frock.
