Helen McCrory In Roksanda – ‘The Prince’s Trust’ Awards

Helen McCrory attended ‘The Prince’s Trust’ Awards on Tuesday (March 6) in London.

The actress wore a pink Roksanda ‘Aruna’ ruched sleeve dress – inspired by the designers love of architecture and modern dance – which hails from the Resort 2018 collection.

Helen’s dress is beautifully tailored, but the exaggerated proportions of the ruched raglan sleeves rendered comical on the actress.

I personally feel the dress is beautiful, so I’m sad to see all the elegance from the lookbook evaporated here.

Better grooming, a proper bunching of the sleeves plus an improvement on the styling of this look would’ve improved things greatly.

Elizabeth Debicki In Roksanda & Gucci – ‘Peter Rabbit’ LA Photocall and Premiere

Elizabeth Debicki was also at the ‘Peter Rabbit’ LA photocall and premiere over the weekend, where she joined Rose Byrne and Margot Robbie.

Photocall: On Friday (February 2), Elizabeth opted for a simple Roksanda Pre-Fall 2018 colour-block frock. I liked the classic, ladylike sensibility of the dress in partnership with its grassy-green effect that was in keeping with the garden-party scene.

Premiere: Minimalist was not, however, the M.O. of this Gucci Spring 2017 frock, which looked like it was designed especially for the ‘Peter Rabbit’ colour story and theme. The quirky elements of the dress were in perfect harmony with this playful Saturday afternoon occasion—and she wore the look from head to toe, completing its retro mood with her hairstyle and silver, ankle-strap pumps.

London Evening Standard Theatre Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were in attendance at the London Evening Standard Theatre Awards were held on Sunday (December 3) in London, England, where all modes of elegance reigned supreme.

Annabelle Wallis: She was the very picture of modern glamour in this Stella McCartney black lace gown. I love how the perfect plunge neckline and semi-sheer, layered effect gave this dress a sultry yet sophisticated finish—juxtaposed with the classic elegance of old-Hollywood waves and a red lip.

Ophelia Lovibond: Not content to let her look go fully the way of monochromatic minimalism, Olivia enlivened this Emporio Armani Fall 2017 halter dress with a bright-pink clutch. It was unexpected, but gave the look its own unique flair.

End Of The Week Red Carpet Roundup

There were so many looks this week, that we’re going to cram them into this final post.

Josephine De La Baume: Attending the ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ world premiere, the French actress opted to infuse her red carpet style with high-voltage seduction courtesy of this Self-Portrait devore mini dress from the Fall 2017 collection. I’m not usually a big fan of platform shoes, but I find myself buying what she’s selling as these Miu Miu Mary Janes add a playful vibe.

Martha Hunt: I love the fashion forward feel of this Off-White c/o Virgil Abloh black cropped blazer and sequin dress from the Fall 2017 collection with simple black pumps. Worn to the World of Children Awards, this was a truly intriguing look I have to say.

Ajak Deng: This saffron yellow Roksanda ‘Tamiko’ jumpsuit from the Fall 2017 collection gave me so much joy at the ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ world premiere. I love the relaxed nature of it all with the chunky heels adding a utilitarian flavour.
