Models @ The 2017 Met Gala

The models had their moment at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City. Here, a look at how they made the night’s blue carpet their catwalk.

Bella Hadid: We’ve heard of the naked dress, but Bella had the naked jumpsuit of the evening in this sheer mesh Alexander Wang number that left precious little to the imagination.

Gigi Hadid: Her sister may have opted for the naked look, but Gigi just went plain nude in this sweeping Tommy Hilfiger gown—her version of a princess dress—that combined architectural tailoring with romantic femininity. To add an edge, Wolford fishnets did the trick for her leg jut that was likewise accessorised by Christian Louboutin heels.

2017 Met Gala Red Carpet Roundup

Many more stars were at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Hailee Steinfeld: I love the deconstructed kimono edge of this Vera Wang design that was both playful and progressive. Hailee’s twisted top knot and winged eye liner likewise sold the look to me.

Dasha Zhukova
: Dasha softly echoed the theme with this red floral Proenza Schouler keyhole gown.

Olivia Cooke: Also wearing the colour of the night, Olivia donned a seductive red Burberry gown with boudoir lace that got creative in its asymmetry.

Kerry Washington In Michael Kors – 2017 Met Gala

Kerry Washington attended the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Putting the punk in patchwork, this Michael Kors quilt of many metallics had edge, elegance, and effortlessness all sewn into one gown.

Plus, with her bluntly cropped wig paying homage to Rei Kawakubo, Kerry carried through the theme from head to toe. Bravo.

Elizabeth Banks In Michael Kors Collection – 2017 Met Gala

Elizabeth Banks had my head spinning the minute she stepped onto the carpet at the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1) in New York City.

Not only did the actress debut a new platinum ’do, she donned a custom Michael Kors optical-illusion column dress styled with a Jimmy Choo ‘Box’ clutch and gems from Established Jewelry and Jennifer Fisher.

The funhouse-worthy combination of geometric circles and squares in this graphic gown had nothing short of a psychedelic effect.

My one complaint with this look? I loved it—I think—but, I couldn’t rest my eyes on it for too long without absorbing its dizzying effect.

Haute or headache?

Emily Robinson In Michael Kors Collection – harper x Harper’s BAZAAR May Issue Event

Emily Robinson, who usually favours white dresses, opted for something a little different for the harper x Harper’s BAZAAR May Issue Event on Wednesday (April 26) in LA.

The young actress wore a Michael Kors Collection Spring 2017 dress full of floral flourishes and sculpted with an enchanting silhouette to keep things prim.

I love the sense of playful femininity and I even love the white accessories with this.

Lea Michele In Michael Kors Collection – Extra

Lea Michele made a guest appearance on Extra on Thursday (April 13) to promote her new album, ‘Places’.

Unlike Pixie Lott’s loud music comeback, Lea opted for a Michael Kors Collection Pre-Fall 2017 LBD with considered details that make it such a slick option.

I love how the silhouette is strengthened with the belt and frivolous trumpet hem skirt.

You’ll get zero nitpicks from me with regards to this look. I would go as far to say my favourite from Lea in a while.
