Cate Blanchett In Michael Kors - BAFTA LA 2014 Awards Season Tea Party

Cate Blanchett added a vibrant hit of colour to the BAFTA LA Awards Season Tea Party held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverley Hills yesterday (January 11).

Cate’s red button-up Michael Kors Spring 2014 dress with puffed shoulders was simple yet impactful.

I like the fact she didn’t over-dress for this event but still remained true to her stand-out style.

I’m so relieved to see Cate style this everyday style dress with Christian Louboutin blue python ‘Pigalle’ pumps. They add a much needed hit of glamour and edge to the look.

Cate Blanchett In Michael Kors - 3rd AACTA International Awards

Cate Blanchett was honoured for her performance in Blue Jasmine last night at the 3rd annual AACTA International Awards held at Sunset Marquis Hotel & Villas in West Hollywood on Friday (January 10).

Accepting the best actress award in an on-trend fluted midi-length Micahel Kors Spring 2014 dress, Chopard earrings and Roger Vivier heels, Cate stayed true to her signature demure and feminine style.

While the on-trend sheer panel of the dress could have proved a tricky piece to pull-off, Cate styled it elegantly and with grace.

The shoes, are somewhat of a disappointment.

While they add an embellished touch, I can’t help but think a killer sandal would have been a stronger choice and would have added a dash of sexiness to this otherwise simple look.

Are you missing the belt?

Octavia Spencer In Michael Kors - AFI Awards 2014

Octavia Spencer joined many of her fellow style mavens at the 14th annual AFI Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills this afternoon (January 10).

The actress was a bright-spot in a lovely black and green pleated Michael Kors dress.

The decision to accessorize with leopard print is a huge ‘yes’ in my book. I love the way the clutch and shoes work as ‘neutrals’ against the bright green.

Simple EF Collection jewels, a white mani, major curls and understated makeup complete her look.

All I can say is, yes, Octavia, yes. Are you as smitten as I am?

Kate Mara In Michael Kors - AFI Awards 2014

Kate Mara rocked her new hair colour at the 14th annual AFI Awards Luncheon at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills this afternoon (January 10).

For the occasion, the star wore a fun, spring-inspired Michael Kors Spring 2014 dress and belt.

Kate is doing this look and doing it well. The print is youthful; the sleeve-length is unique, and the belt sets it all off perfectly.

She’s also doing major justice to her newly blonde locks. The color looks great with her skintone and the dress, and she really wears the ever-popular messy lob effortlessly.

My only complaint is I wish she had matched the color of her shoes to the belt, as seen on the runway.

So let’s hear it–do you love Kate’s style and new hair colour as much as I do?

Naya Rivera In Michael Kors Resort 2014

Naya Rivera also joined the ‘it’ list of PYTs who came out in force at the 2014 People’s Choice Awards at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in California on Wednesday (January 8), where she took home the trophy for Favourite TV Gal Pals alongside ‘Glee’ co-star, Lea Michele.

New year, new ‘do for this ‘Glee’ girl, apparently, as she debuted a lighter, chestnut-blonde hair colour via her voluminous waves.

While her locks may have first caught my attention, I soon redirected my gaze to her on-trend, colour-block Michael Kors Resort 2014 nude, white and black dress. That she covered up in this long-sleeve, slim-line design was also a bit of a departure for this figure-flaunting starlet.

Generally, the high-low hemline is lost on me. But, here, Naya works it to her advantage—even if, at times, I just wanted to slice off that back train that trailed behind her.

Blush-nude Stuart Weitzman sandals, in combination with the flash of a gold collar necklace and sultry nude makeup hues, completed her entrance.

What do you think of her new look?
