Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield attend a photocall for ‘The Amazing Spider-Man’ at the Adlon Hotel in Berlin, Germany this afternoon.

The actors were both wearing black on this occasion.

Emma wore her second look from the Martin Grant Fall 2012 collection.

For someone who isn’t a fan of black dresses on the red carpet, I have to say that I love this chic summer LBD with a cinched waist, narrow skirt and pocket detail.

My only wish is that she would’ve styled her look with red pumps; instead she wore Christian Louboutin ‘Bois Dore’ pumps with a solid gold heel.

Jennifer Meyer’s gold square stud earrings and a two gold 18-karat gold bar necklace accessorized her look.

Side swept bangs, kohl-rimmed eyes and a glossy lip colour completed her look.

Devon Aoki was your best dressed this week.

The model looked stunning wearing a custom Alice + Olivia gown to the CFDA Fashion Awards. The beautiful colour and dramatic peplum of her red-and-black gown with a train was your favourite by a long margin.

Emma Stone was my favourite this week.

The Spiderman actress looked oh so very chic wearing a Martin Grant ensemble to the MTV Movie Awards.

Her black-and-ivory dress, which also had a dramatic peplum, was styled with complementary pumps a beautiful coral lip colour.

I’m hoping for more of this during her promo tour.

Emma Stone was honoured at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards, held in Universal City last night, with the first annual ‘Trailblazer Award’.

The actress, who is back to blonde for her upcoming ‘The Amazing Spiderman’ promo tour, wore an edgy black-and-ivory Martin Grant Fall 2012 frock.

Slightly modifying the lookbook version, Emma chose to tailor the architectural black bodice, while also toning down the voluminous white bubble skirt, creating a more streamlined look overall.

Two-tone black-and-ivory Brian Atwood ‘Grace’ pumps match the dress.

A slightly tousled updo and vibrant rose-pink lips complete the look, and add a much-needed dose of colour.

Martin Grant’s Spring 2011 collection had a retro feel to it.

The designer presented perfectly cut cocktail dresses and red carpet gowns.

We also saw strapless jumpsuits, trench coats worn as dresses, strapless rompers and tailored suits.

Oversized pockets created an interesting silhouette by exaggerating the hips.

Models walked the runway with Louboutin heels and ankle boots as they smoldered with their red hot lips.

Favourites: Tan leather trench coat and fuchsia pink one shoulder gown

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Jessica Alba, Sophia Bush, Sarah Jessica Parker, Gwyneth Paltrow and Kyra Sedgwick

Rachel McAdams was finally allowed to shine on her own.

There was no Blake Lively wearing a show stopping Dolce & Gabbana barely-there dress.

No Diane Kruger dazzling in a Karl Lagerfeld futuristic dress.

It was just Rachel, giving us sophisticated glamour wearing a Vionnet Resort 2010 nude dress.

I love way one side of the draped ruched dress falls gently off her shoulder, and even though those Casadei heels look heavy I’m glad she didn’t opt for a nude pair.

There’s a bit of a Noah’s Ark effect about Vionnet, with their clothes being worn in two’s.

Back in October both Carey Mulligan and Hilary Swank wore Vionnet on the same night.

Last night both Marion Cotillard and Rachel wore Vionnet looks.

Robert Downey Jr and his wife producer Susan Downey looked to be having fun walking the red carpet together.

She looked gorgeous wearing a strapless Martin Grant Fall 2009 grey ombre dress, with a matching pair of grey peep-toes.

I’m so happy to see a look from this collection on the red carpet again. I wish more pieces had been worn.
