2015 Met Gala Roundup

"China: Through The Looking Glass" Costume Institute Benefit Gala - Arrivals

A flurry of even more bold names descended on red carpet of the ‘China: Through the Looking Glass’ 2015 Met Gala, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on Monday (May 4), where their colourful variety of looks only contributed to this year’s fashion extravaganza.

Anna Wintour
: As the gala co-host, the ‘Vogue’ editor-in-chief dressed thematically (for her, anyway) in a Chanel Spring 2015 Couture gown featuring dimensional, all-over poppy embroidery, which had been lengthened from the runway’s original shorter version. She should have maintained her signature cap sleeve, as the flower petal statement shoulders translated as a bit cumbersome, despite their inherent artistry.

Bee Shaffer: Like her mother, Bee also found inspiration in flowers, opting for a mahogany blossom gown by Alexander McQueen. I much preferred this look to Anna’s, especially with the enchantment of the beautifully embroidered Chinese cranes that alighted down the back of the dress.

Blake Lively In Marc Jacobs & Roksanda – ‘Good Morning America’

Blake Lively In Marc Jacobs & Roksanda - 'Good Morning America'

Blake Lively paid a visit to the ABC Studios for her guest appearance on ‘Good Morning America’ today (April 21) in New York City to promote her new movie, ‘The Age of Adaline’.

Arrival: I was bitterly disappointed by her first look from Marc Jacobs’ Fall 2015 collection. The look feels look feels really rigid and matronly on Blake. The out of season feeling is also very jarring. The only positive it that her Christian Louboutin ‘Tucsick’ pumps were perfectly matched.

Departure: My reaction to the second look was, “BOOM”, this is more like the Blake Lively I know and love. I think her colour-block Roksanda Lockwood dress and coat from the Resort 2015 collection is easily her best look this week which she styled with Christian Louboutin ‘Front Double’ Silver glitter and gold specchio detailed pumps. Chic, sophisticated and modern; it’s hard not to fall in love with this outfit. You guys didn’t like her premiere looks, so I am guessing you might be in agreement. I hope to see more exciting looks like this on her promo tour.

amfAR Hong Kong Gala Red Carpet Roundup

amfAR Hong Kong Gala Red Carpet Roundup

A host of stars joined Gwyneth Paltrow, Victoria Beckham and Carina Lau for the 2015 amfAR Hong Kong Gala held at Shaw Studios on Saturday (March 14) in Hong Kong.

Naomi Campbell: The model also wore a Marc Jacobs Fall 2015 look, selecting a burgundy crepe de chine gown with nail head detailing which she styled with a black and red Christian Louboutin clutch and Harry Winston jewels. I really love the rich Bollywood vibe I am getting from this look, but I can’t say I’m too fond of the styling.

Kate Moss: Decked out in Harry Winston jewels, the model wore a Marc Jacobs black silk tulle dress with sequin detailing from the Fall 2015 collection, which she styled with a feathered rather than a fur accessory.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Marc Jacobs – amfAR Hong Kong Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow In Marc Jacobs - amfAR Hong Kong Gala

Gwyneth Paltrow attended the 2015 amfAR Hong Kong Gala held at Shaw Studios on Saturday (March 14) in Hong Kong.

The actress wore a Marc Jacobs Spring 2015 navy gown with cut-outs and a satin trim at the waist creating a more contoured look.

Upon looking at this dress, my eyes were immediately drawn to the gorgeously intricate Cabochon detailing and of course the set of Harry Winston jewels.

Despite how elegant and bold the dress is, the hair and makeup fell really flat. I want to get excited about the look, but the styling stalls any emotion.

Models @ 2015 Elle Style Awards

Models @ 2015 Elle Style Awards

You were very much underwhelmed by the models at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party, so let’s see how those supers fared at the 2015 Elle Style Awards on Tuesday (February 24) in London, England.

Cara Delevingne: Known for her preference for suits on the red carpet, the model channelled her inner Dita Von Teese on this occasion, wearing a sultry long-sleeve black gown by Vivienne Westwood. Going the distance, she styled the look with a diamond Messika necklace, screen-siren waves and a plump red lip.

Isabeli Fontana: I was blown away by the Brazilian model in her Ralph & Russo Spring 2015 Couture gown, having seen it sweep down the runway just a month ago. I love the airiness, the seductive sheer elements and of course the pretty floral appliqués. Factor in the bold violet lip and braided hairdo, and this was one of my favourites on the night.
