Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Selena Gomez Peter Pilotto

Selena Gomez turned up the glamour for a sexy photo shoot in Palmdale, California on Monday.

She strutted her stuff for the cameras wearing several colourful outfits.

I love her daring Peter Pilotto Spring 2013 ‘Emelie’ dress, featuring a criss-cross bodice and a colourful embroidered skirt, which she styled with Burberry high-cuff satin wedges with a sharp pointy toe.

The look works so much better without that black band.

Alexa Chung attended the Museum of Chinese in America’s annual Legacy Awards dinner at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.

As the British TV presenter’s father is of Chinese heritage, it was great to see her supporting this event.

She wore a Kenzo Fall 2012 dress for the occasion.

I can’t say I’m that excited about her grey drop-waist dress, especially when paired alongside the more colourful runway version.

Had Alexa added a beautiful choker or statement necklace I may have been more inclined to like this look; at present the only thing I like about this look is the playful pleated skirt with a scalloped trim.

Heavy platform pumps and a sparkling clutch completed her look.

Solange Knowles hosted a party last Tuesday at The Standard Spa in Miami to celebrate the launch of Absolut Tune, a mix of vodka and sparkling white wine.

The singer/DJ looked amazing, wearing a Kenzo Spring 2013 dress.

As you know, I’m obsessed by Solange’s style because we both have a penchant for colour and prints.

On this occasion she mixed the two, wearing a vibrant teal short-sleeve silk dress with a side slit, which had a decorative multi-coloured leopard-print necklace collar.

Her favourite Pierre Hardy PVC multi-coloured sandals, which she first wore on the red carpet back in 2008, are still going strong and work perfectly with this look.

J’adore… but what’s new?

Robert Pattinson is currently in Sydney, Australia, where he promoted the ‘Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2’ at a fan event at the Fox Studios earlier today.

The actor opted to wear a dark olive Kenzo suit from the Fall 2012 collection which he styled with a quirky printed shirt.

I love the shirt. It not only adds a cheeky British touch, but a youthful one too.

It says “I love to have fun with fashion”.

Looking handsomely dishevelled, the actor completed his look with brown lace-up shoes.

Chloe Moretz joined Charlize Theron on the red carpet for the Big Screen Achievement Awards during CinemaCon 2012, which was held in Las Vegas yesterday.

Usually, I have at least one major gripe about Chloe’s look, but she was pout free and age appropriate wearing a Kenzo Pre-Fall 2012 dress.

Her super-cute purple sleeveless jacquard dress with a medallion print, a collar and a pleated skirt is one of my favourite looks from her so far. I’m tempted to say her best look to date.

As we all know, Chloe has a tendency to dress too maturely, but this couldn’t be more perfect for her. I’m glad she’s discovered that she can look good whilst looking her age.

Sporting slightly longer locks, the actress completed her look with glossy lips and black Jimmy Choo ‘Lance’ sandals.

Did you think you had seen the last of the pajamas trend on the red carpet?

Well Oh Land channelled a PJ look on the red carpet at the 3rd Annual Elle Women in Music event, held at the Avalon in Hollywood, California last night.

Before performing at the event, she wore a Kenzo Pre-Fall 2012 look.

The silk bi-colour floral-print shirt and pants were teamed with the same yellow fluffy faux fur jacket the model wears in the lookbook.

As you know I love the PJ trend, but I’m not crazy about this particular look.

It looks a tad small plus I dislike those clunky black wedges and the jacket feels too heavy for a balmy evening in California.
