Allison Williams In Diane von Furstenberg – 2017 Met Gala

‘Girls’ star Allison Williams attended the 2017 Met Gala on Monday (May 1).

The actress wore a fluid white Diane von Furstenberg gown

For me, this gown ties in to the theme with its yin and yang nature: The whole thing has a duality I’m loving. It’s understated, yet completely statement-making. It’s fluid yet structural; it’s feminine with a touch of masculinity in the tux-inspired bustier. In short, an editorial dream!

I’m also absolutely swooning over this hair and makeup effect on Allison, since she so often goes much  more subdued than this. The over-the-top cat eye is almost campy, but stops just short of ‘going there’, and the result is something fun and daring for the actress.

Skai Jackson in Diane von Furstenberg – 9th Annual Shorty Awards

Skai Jackson attended the 9th Annual Shorty Awards on Sunday (April 23) in New York City.

From the waist up, the starlet was the picture of girly youthfulness in her simple, ruffled top and pretty lavender eye makeup. But, she lost me at the Diane von Furstenberg Spring 2017 wide-leg trousers.

In theory, the fold-over waist and colourful racing stripes should had made these pants a stylish shoo-in.

But, the execution just wasn’t there with the rumpled creases and the cuffs that made for a strange, blocky leg line. Would you agree?

You may remember that Tracee Ellis Ross wore these same trouser earlier this month.

2017 DVF Awards

The 2017 DVF Awards took place on Thursday (April 6) at the United Nations Headquarters in New York with plenty of stars decked out in DVF.

Kate Bosworth: Drenched in highly polished, couture-grade micro sequins, this colour-block Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2017 is utterly resplendent. The only downside was the out-of-place wooden clutch.

Tracee Ellis Ross: Had it not been for the poor fit and the creases, this DVF Spring 2017 look would’ve been a winner.

Allison Williams: Going the uber sophisticated route, the ‘Girls’ actress was my favourite of the bunch. I just love the timeless quality of her Fall 2017 look with the old Hollywood glam styling.

Freida Pinto In Diane von Furstenberg & Temperley London – The Today Show & SiriusXM

Freida Pinto continued making the rounds as part of her ‘Guerrilla’ promo tour, with stops by ‘The Today Show’ and SiriusXM Studios on Tuesday (April 4) in New York City.

The Today Show: I was immediately drawn to the brilliant combination of colour and print in this Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2017 form-fitting design. The additional kaleidoscope hues by way of the heels wasn’t exactly necessary, though, as the dress was powerful enough. But I do appreciate her willingness to colour outside the lines and go beyond a basic black pump.

SiriusXM: With a completely different outlook on pattern, this Temperley London Spring 2017 frock featured a youthfully summery, folk-inspired mood with a pretty palette of shades. I did find myself missing the artfully spirited mix of textures between the embroidered top and woven skirt seen on the runway, which gave the look its style-forward, cool-girl edge.

Kiersey Clemons In Diane von Furstenberg – 2017 GLAAD Media Awards & Daily Front Row’s 3rd Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards

Like Paris Jackson, Kiersey Clemons was also in attendance at the 28th annual GLAAD Media Awards on Friday (March 31) and Daily Front Row’s 3rd Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Sunday (April 2) in West Hollywood.

2017 GLAAD Media Awards: Proper fit is everything, and this Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2017 dress is a perfect example. Even though the colour palette was radiant, the unflattering fit completely compromised the look—as did the pale-pink pumps.

Daily Front Row’s 3rd Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards: Kiersey’s second Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2017 look was far more successful. I love the fun graphic pattern of the embroidered black-and-white lace in this jumpsuit, emboldened by a bright red lip.

Mandy Moore In Diane von Furstenberg – Alliance For Children’s Rights Event In LA

Mandy Moore attended the Alliance for Children’s Rights event on Thursday (March 16) in LA.

Again branching outside her more classic feminine style, she looked to the Diane von Furstenberg Pre-Fall 2017 collection although the label’s iconic wrap dress and prints were nowhere to be found here.

Instead, this dress prioritized texture and a freewheeling sense of colour in partnership with the ladylike sophistication of silhouette. Yet the translation of the yellow and  violet hues is precisely what will likely be most divisive about the ensemble.

No matter which way you slice it, though, the dark clutch was an odd choice.

However, Mandy was lovely with her cherry-red lip, effortless waves, and those long statement earrings.

Kate Bosworth In Diane von Furstenberg – Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards

Kate Bosworth was doing her bit for the International Women’s Day by speaking at Vital Voices Global Leadership Awards on Wednesday (March 8) in Washington DC.

The actress wore a Diane von Furstenberg Fall 2017 which sees the designer update the classic t-shirt dress in striking, knockout style.

The figure-flattering silhouette might be relaxed, but the shimmer and shine from the engaging, high-impact colourful striped sequins ensured all eyes were on Kate as she delivered her important message.

Strappy, high-heel sandals and Anita Ko drop earrings completed the look.
