The PEOPLE Magazine Awards Red Carpet Roundup

The PEOPLE Magazine Awards

Here is a roundup of the other attendees who took to the red carpet for the PEOPLE Magazine Awards held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Thursday (December 18) in Beverly Hills, California.

Jennifer Aniston: Still not able to fully break away from her favourite colour black, the actress collected her ‘Movie Performance of the Year’ award for ‘Horrible Bosses 2′ wearing a black and white fit-and-flare Fausto Puglisi Spring 2015 dress. The silhouette may be different, but why does everything feel the same?

Karlie Kloss: The catwalker took home the ‘Model of the Year’ award looking very beautiful and statuesque wearing a sexy Zac Posen bustier and laser-cut pony-skin Marchesa skirt styled with sexy Giuseppe Zanotti Design criss-cross strap sandals and a signature Marchesa clutch.

Kate Upton: The model picked up ‘PEOPLE’s Sexist Woman’ award wearing an all-black all-leather look, selecting a Tamara Mellon bodysuit and a Thomas Wylde ‘Topsy Turvy’ skirt styled with Brian Atwood satin ‘Besame’ pumps and a vintage corseted belt from The Way We Wore. While my mind boggles at how uncomfortable a leather bodysuit must be, this isn’t such a bad look for Kate.

Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 Front Row

Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 Front Row

A trio of Dior-outfitted darlings showed up for the Esprit Dior Tokyo 2015 Fashion Show at Ryogoku Kokugikan on Thursday (December 11) in Japan. However, their looks couldn’t have been more different.

Hailee Steinfeld: The starlet donned a Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture embroidered, off-white silk cocoon-shaped dress with patent Dior pumps. Worn with nude makeup and a slick updo, the look follows Hailee’s sophisticated yet sweet style. Yet the hemline fell a few centimetres too short and the overall effect was too precious for my liking. You may remember that Angelababy wore a similar dress.

Audrey Tautou: The French star wore a Christian Dior grey wool embroidered coat with a Dior black wool top and cropped black pants, all accessorized with Dior T-bar heels and a mini Dior “Bar” bag. I’m not a fan of the shrunken silhouette of the coat or its gaping front.

Crystal Kay: Bringing a shock of colour to the front row, the Japanese recording artist stood out in a Christian Dior Fall 2014 orange silk dress worn with a Dior bright blue wool coat and a lemon-yellow Dior clutch. The contrasting hues surprisingly all worked together, yet it was the embellished nude Dior heels that really didn’t match here.

Katherine Waterston In Christian Dior – ‘Inherent Vice’ LA Premiere

Katherine Waterston In Christian Dior - 'Inherent Vice' LA Premiere

Katherine Waterston attended the premiere of Warner Bros. Pictures’ ‘Inherent Vice’ held at the TCL Chinese Theatre on Wednesday (December 10) in Hollywood, California.

On paper I shouldn’t be a fan of Katherine’s black-all-the-time minimalist style, yet once again I find myself totally captivated by her look.

The actress wore a black cold-shoulder Dior Fall 2014 satin and crepe flared dress styled with nothing but black Brian Atwood ‘Melly’ strappy sandals, a simple ponytail and a deep red lip colour.

Her style in part is much like Rooney Mara’s, yet Katherine appears to have much more confidence on the red carpet.

Felicity Jones in Christian Dior Couture – ‘The Theory of Everything’ London Premiere

Felicity Jones in Christian Dior Couture - 'The Theory of Everything' London Premiere

Felicity Jones took to the ‘blue’ carpet for the London premiere of ‘The Theory of Everything’ hosted at Odeon Leicester Square on Tuesday (December 9) in England.

The actress stunned in a Christian Dior Fall 2014 Couture dress that was nothing short of breathtaking.

Again breaking out of her all-black comfort zone, she wore this pristine, white quilted confection with statement embroidery. While the 18th century-inspired pannier-style silhouette wasn’t exactly figure-lengthening, the voluminous form was a risk that paid off in my view.

When styled with lavender metallic Dior pumps, a partless ’do, and a bright-pink lip, the frock fully took on modern, relevant appeal, rather than falling into an overly fussy trap.

The overall effect was one of precious doll-like quality—with a dash of edge. What say you?

Cameron Diaz In Christian Dior – ‘Annie’ World Premiere

Cameron Diaz In Christian Dior - 'Annie' World Premiere

Cameron Diaz attended the ‘Annie’ world premiere held at the Ziegfeld Theater on Sunday (December 7) in New York City joining Rose Byrne.

While I have fully accepted that the leg-baring sex kitten has perhaps gone for good, I can’t get excited about this Dior black iridescent tweed dress with an asymmetrical hemline.

It’s just a bit, well, dull. Which is a shame because everything else about this look, including the ankle-tie Dior shoes, I really like.

Lupita Nyong’o In Christian Dior – 2014 Massachusetts Conference For Women

Lupita Nyong'o In Christian Dior - 2014 Massachusetts Conference For Women

Lupita Nyong’o and former United States Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton attended the 2014 Massachusetts Conference for Women at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center on Thursday (December 4) in Boston, Massachusetts.

The actress wore a Dior pink trapeze dress with a Dior cream jacket styled with Dior Fine Jewelry and silver metallic Nicholas Kirkwood pumps.

I love that she continues to embrace colour. The pink and cream work so harmoniously together.

While the look is so very elegant, chic and event appropriate, I will admit my first thought was this would’ve made a great maternity red carpet look.
