Natalia Dyer In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 SAG Awards

Natalia Dyer was another one of the early arrivals on the red carpet of the 2018 SAG Awards on Sunday (January 21) in LA.

I’ve been awaiting a modern princess moment from the ‘Stranger Things’ starlet, and she delivered her own interpretation of such in this Christian Dior Spring 2017 Couture gown.

I was enamoured by the youthful sophistication of the look and how at ease Natalia seemed to be in the dress.

It was perfectly feminine—with a nod to Dior’s classic New Look aesthetic in its fitted bodice and the sweeping pouf of the ball skirt.

Yet, even still, the ensemble held true to the actress’s quirky-cool style thanks to the eclectic print of the celestial beings.

As for her beauty look, she hit it out of the park with her sleek-sweet bun and retro-winged eyeliner.

Front Row @ Dior Homme Fall 2018

Some of Dior’s most dashing and fashionably daring fans were in attendance at the brand’s Dior Homme Fall 2018 show, held on Saturday (January 20) during Paris Fashion Week.

Robert Pattinson: Monochromatic black proved far from boring on Robert, who cut an impossibly cool profile by wearing a Dior Homme leather bomber jacket over his Dior Homme suit. I love the slightly rebellious effect it provided. A black cotton tee and black leather derbies completed the look.

Bella Hadid: Speaking of style rebels, look no further than Bella who walked on the wild side with Dior Homme’s ‘New Look’ jacket and pants featuring an all-over tribal print. Her silver sunglasses and bandana echoed the same print, with the exposed bra adding her signature side of sexiness. I know those red, fluorescent yellow and white techno sneakers may be a marmite addition to the look, but I was a fan of their unexpectedness.

Future: Rocking the same sneakers that again shone like a beacon on an all-black look, Future paired his with a Dior Homme shiny-effect leather bomber jacket styled over a wool turtleneck and wool pants. The metal round sunglasses added even more attitude.

Sonequa Martin Green In Christian Dior – 2018 NAACP Image Awards

Sonequa Martin Green was in attendance at the 2018 NAACP Image Awards on Monday (January 15) in Pasadena, California, alongside Kerry Washington and Yara Shahidi.

‘The Walking Dead’ actress was clad in a Christian Dior Resort 2018 dress which stood out for its textured, burlap-like fabric and dynamic pattern.

I applaud her for giving the strong western vibe a glamorous spin with her Roger Vivier clutch and statement jewellery.

Unfortunately, I think the look is over-accessorized with the shoes distracting from the painterly horse print.

The footwear feels very out of place.

2018 Critics’ Choice Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Following the 2018 Golden Globes black dress code, the 2018 Critics’ Choice Awards on Thursday (January 11) showcased a range of colours, styles and designers.

Reese Witherspoon: The actress’s most memorable looks often have bold colours, so I was surprised she opted for a black Prada dress. That being said, I thought the short length really worked for her, with the embellishment adding some vicariousness. The Roger Vivier shoes enhanced the playful mood.

Emma Roberts: Her choppy blonde fringe was certainly a talking point, but the elegant simplicity of her Giorgio Armani gown didn’t go unnoticed. The strapless column fit perfectly. She styled it in a very modern way with the gold-toned accessories and by leaving the neckline bare.

Emilia Clarke: Like Reese, the ‘Game of Thrones’ star opted for a shorter black dress. She wore a Dolce & Gabbana frock with Gianvito Rossi sandals. I would have loved to see the look completed with a red lip as it would have added some warmth while playing up the brand’s Italian film star aesthetic.

2018 Golden Globe Awards Parties

The 2018 Golden Globe Awards were a study in many glamorous renditions of the colour black. And, for the most part, the Globes after parties followed suit with the hue taking on all measures of late-night allure.

Diane Kruger: After a regally glamorous entrance at the Globes, Diane was at the InStyle and Warner Bros. post-party, where she imbued black, cropped trousers with a bit of creamy lace in this Alexander McQueen Spring 2018 ensemble. I have a feeling that the tattered, asymmetrical effect of the lace bustier top will turn some away from the more experimental look.

Tessa Thompson: At HBO’s official after party in LA, Tessa suited up in an Alexandre Vauthier Fall 2017 Couture menswear-inspired look that delivered plenty of intriguing edge when styled with the MATEO jewelry and bauble-accented sandals. I was happy for the sheer shirting underneath to balance the boxier shape of the tuxedo blazer.

Nina Dobrev: The actress flaunted her toned abs at the InStyle party in this Ralph Lauren cutout gown. Even with the futuristic liquid-silver paneling, something about the look read a bit dated. Alexis Bittar choker completed her look.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture & America Ferrera In Christian Siriano – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Natalie Portman was one of the stylish attendees at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7), joining a pregnant America Ferrera.

Both showed their support in black, with the ‘Jackie’ actress opting for a Dior Couture ensemble while America wore a custom Christian Siriano sequin gown with Stella Luna shoes.

Natelie’s dress had a luxurious Victorian feel from the rich black velvet and the long sleeves.

The low neckline and V-shaped cut-out added a sultry allure while helping to modernize the silhouette.

The belted version on the runway presented a different vibe. I would have liked to see the presenter wear a belt with some special detail as it would have helped make the look more memorable. Thoughts?

Michelle Pfeiffer In Christian Dior Couture – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Michelle Pfeiffer showed solidarity at the 2018 Golden Globes on Sunday (January 7) by wearing black.

The actress cut a chic figure in a Dior Couture blazer and maxi skirt. The look was a departure from the numerous sheer dresses we have seen from the house lately.

The sharpness of the belted jacket was softened by the tulle skirt with cascading embroidery.

She fully committed to the all-black theme by sporting a dark manicure.

What did you think of the separates?
