Miranda Kerr Weds Evan Spiegel In Christian Dior Haute Couture

I’m delighted that the House of Dior have shared the images from Miranda Kerr’s wedding to Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel.

The model looked to the House of Dior when it came to her special day, which actually took place in back May.

Her gown made of the purest lines in silk mikado sprinkled with lily-of-the-valley embroideries, was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, which was specially created in the Haute Couture Ateliers.

The gown was inspired by the iconic Grace Kelly, and the gown she wore back in 1956 for her wedding to Prince Rainier of Monaco.

Miranda said: “I’ve had a lot of fun with fashion, and I used to be more wild, free, bohemian”.

“But in this period of my life, my style is more pulled back. My greatest sources of inspiration have always been Grace, Audrey Hepburn, and my grandmother, who at 80 has an effortless chic: a nice pant, a white blouse, a scarf, a little heel.”

If ever there were a fairy-tale wedding gown, this is it.

Platino Awards 2017

The Platino Awards 2017 were held on Saturday (July 22) in Madrid, Spain with a number of stars putting forth their glamorous side for Ibero-America’s annual film awards.

Mar Saura: Adding a gilded touch to her glamorous approach, Mar was striking in a Georges Hobeika fit-and-flare gown with golden embellishment. I love how her simple, complementary styling prevented any possibility of an overcooked look, keeping the dress on the right side of sophistication.

Juana Acosta: With a look that prioritized sharp elegance, Juana wore a Michael Kors Collection black gown for an asymmetrical look that left me with mixed feelings on the singular sling sleeve.

Sonia Balaco: Between the feathered plumage and the thigh-bearing, bow-bearing cutouts, there was a lot to take in with this Diogo Miranda Fall 2017 frock, so I’m glad she kept the accessories on the more minimal side with Monseo jewels, a Louis Vuitton clutch, and Christian Louboutin sandals. I will always struggle to find the flattering side of a gaping cutout placed at the high hip, though.

Charlize Theron In Saint Laurent & Christian Dior – SiriusXM From Comic-Con 2017 & ‘Atomic Blonde’ LA Premiere

Charlize Theron continued to promote her latest film, ‘Atomic Blonde’ during Comic-Con, before the LA premiere on Monday evening (July 24).

Comic-Con 2017: Taking part in both Entertainment Weekly’s Women Who Kick Ass panel and SiriusXM’s Entertainment segment, the actress kept things simple with a Saint Laurent shirt dress paired with the kick ass element coming from her sexy over-the-knee boots.

‘Atomic Blonde’ LA Premiere: Switching gears from first to second, the actress wore what appears to be the black version of her Berlin premiere look with a sheer fringed dress thrown in for good measure.

With the level of repetition, sticking to a strict colour scheme and the high level of deja vu, I’m not as excited about this promo tour as I hoped I would be.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – ‘Planetarium’ Tokyo Premiere

I don’t know about you, but I have been unimpressed by Natalie Portman’s red carpet style during this trip to Asia.

Following her Dior photocall look, the actress attended the ‘Planetarium’ Tokyo premiere on Thursday (July 20) wearing a simple high neck Dior LBD.

I will never understand why an ambassador for a major fashion brand will display such little interest in fashion.

Simple doesn’t necessarily have to mean boring, but that’s the feeling I have when trying to find a positive from this look.

Not even the Dior ‘J’Adior’ slingbacks could save this look from feeling so underwhelming.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – ‘Dior For Love’ Photocall

Natalie Portman continued her ambassador role for Dior in the Far East, by attending the ‘Dior For Love’ photocall earlier today (July 19) in Tokyo, Japan.

The actress wore a bardot-esque, off-the-shoulder design which spells sweet summer style that isn’t too saccharine.

I can’t say I’m in love with the look, as it doesn’t possess the level of glamour I need from a Dior design, even for a day time look.

With that said there’s no denying this look sits firmly in Natalie’s wheelhouse.

Natalie Portman In Christian Dior – Miss Dior Perfume Party

Staying very much within her sartorial comfort zone, Natalie Portman was at the Miss Dior Perfume Party on Monday (July 17) in Shanghai, China.

Naturally, she wore a Christian Dior lace-accented dress in her favoured palette of black and white.

She did bring a bit of sharper modernity with her topknot and long earrings, but the look still left me wishing for a bit more from the actress.

Would you agree?
