Maria Thelma Smaradottir in Christian Dior – ‘Arctic’ Cannes Film Festival Photocall

Maria Thelma Smaradottir embraced pattern at the ‘Arctic’ Cannes Film Festival photocall on Thursday (May 10) in Cannes.

The actress’s Christian Dior Fall 2018 multicolour knit dress is a vivid array of hues and patterns, but it doesn’t feel overwhelming in the slightest thanks to the subdued colour palette and scale of the design.

She cinched the look with a ‘Diorquake’ belt. A number of you have commented that celebs who have worn this belt have worn it the wrong way around. Maria got it right.

The boldness of the belt is echoed in her black platforms sandals.

Carey Mulligan In Christian Dior – Kering Talks Women In Motion

Carey Mulligan attended the Kering Talks Women In Motion photocall earlier today (May 10) during Cannes Film Festival, following the screening of her latest film, ‘Wildlife’.

The British actress was at her dainty best wearing a charming dress from Christian Dior’s Pre-Fall 2018 collection.

While inherently classic in style, I love how this whisper-weight polka-dot dress is imbued with plenty of playful spirit – I just wish she opted for white shoes instead of beige.

I rarely like white shoes, but they may have worked better here.

Araya A. Hargate In Christian Dior – Chopard Gentlemen’s Evening

Araya A. Hargate joined Julianne Moore at the Chopard Gentlemen’s Evening on Wednesday (May 9), as part of the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

I can hear the collective sigh of relief that this Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2018 dress was lined and therefore absent of a Dior underwear moment. For that reason, it all the more retained its fairytale quality with the flurry of glinting embellishment.

I am grateful she didn’t overcook the subtle dazzle with a necklace, as Chopard jewels in the form of hoop earrings were all that were necessary to complete the look.

There were mixed emotions on her Cannes entrance yesterday, so how does this one fare?

‘Yomeddine’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet Roundup

The ‘Yomeddine’ Cannes Film Festival premiere this evening (May 9) had a number of beauties in attendance. They joined Louise BourgoinLi Yuchun and Julianne Moore.

Xenia Tchoumitcheva:  The model had a playful punky moment in Ellery Pre-Fall 2018. With the sharp check bodice and voluminous black skirt, it certainly wasn’t the typical Cannes gown, but there seems to be construction issues with it staying in the proper place. I have the urge to pull it up a few inches. The Edie Parker clutch enhanced the mood, but I foresee the braided buns being divisive.

Wang Likun: With the layers of white tulle, this Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture gown was an appropriate choice for the dancer-actress. There is such an elegant grace to the look. The embroidered bodice adds allure.

Carey Mulligan In Christian Dior Couture – ‘Wildlife’ Cannes Film Festival Screening

Carey Mulligan was back on the red carpet for the screening of ‘Wildlife’ during Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 9) in France.

The British actress wore a Christian Dior Spring 2018 Couture gown which was a perfect example of her no-fuss aesthetic.

What appears to be a simple gown is actually meticulously detailed with the large folds and impeccable tailoring. Seeing this in motion would’ve been a joy, as I’m sure that skirt moves beautifully.

What do I love most about this look?

Carey’s beauty. Both her makeup and the sweeping updo feel like a rare luxury on this occasion, as Carey prefers the less is more approach.

Stunning diamond and emerald drop earrings and a Dior clutch completed her stunning look.

Miss Dior Dinner

Lovely ladies stepped out at the Miss Dior dinner at Château de La Colle Noire in Montauroux, France on Monday (May 7).

Zoey Deutch: The ‘Flower’ actress personified ladylike elegance in a cream off-the-shoulder dress accented with Diorquake belt, ‘J’adior’ shoes and a black ‘J’adior’ bag. The logo details brought a sense of modernity but didn’t detract from the refined finish.

Amandla Stenberg: Going for rich colour, her vibrant separates added a punchy sentiment to the prim silhouettes. The Dior Addict bag and ankle-strap heels contrast the statement-making shade and prevented the outfit from becoming too matchy-matchy.

Camila Coelho: The Brazilian beauty looked ethereal in a Spring 2018 dress which glistened with its tones of bronze and copper. The Dior ‘J’adior’ bag and Dior shoes added to the golden goddess effect.
