Best Dressed Of The Week – Sarah Jessica Parker In Mary Katrantzou & Emma Watson In Christian Dior

Best Dressed Of The Week - Sarah Jessica Parker In Mary Katrantzou & Emma Watson In Christian Dior

This week was very strong fashion-wise, so I am not surprised that there was a deadlock.

You couldn’t decide between Sarah Jessica Parker and Emma Watson.

Sarah for her unique, modern take on style at the New York Ballet with her embroidered Mary Katrantzou gown; and Emma who continues to leave us in awe, presenting an event-appropriate, sophisticated, chic look in Christian Dior.

I went for Sarah for the reason above and for not over-accessorizing.

Christian Dior Spring 2015 Front Row

Christian Dior Spring 2015 Front Row

The Christian Dior front row is one I always look forward to during fashion week; however, on this occasion I was somewhat underwhelmed by the looks the ladies were displaying this afternoon (September 26) in Paris, France.

Marion Cotillard: The French actress and Dior ambassador kept her look uber-simple wearing a chic LBD with cobalt-blue velvet ankle boots. I don’t by any means dislike the look, but as always I want just a little bit more from Marion.

Olivia Palermo: The only person who piqued my interest was Olivia. If anyone can spark some life into an LBD it’s her. Her double-breasted coat dress with sheer sleeves was accented with a Dior Resort 2014 scarf, dual-colour Dior bag and a her favourite Jimmy Choo ‘Dream’ tassel-accented sandals.

Dakota Fanning: Wearing a black Dior Couture dress, the black accessories I don’t mind, but I couldn’t help but wish for a pop of colour to the lips or a new hairdo (as always) from Dakota.

Reese Witherspoon In Christian Dior – ‘The Good Lie’ Nashville Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Christian Dior - 'The Good Lie' Nashville Premiere

Reese Witherspoon was back on the red carpet for ‘The Good Lie’ premiere held at The Belcourt Theatre on Friday (September 19) in Nashville, Tennessee following the Washington premiere two days prior.

Opting to wear Dior once again, the actress selected a mini dress artfully adorned with floral motifs and embedded with a timeless feminine spirit.

Keeping the styling to a minimum, she added Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and diamond jewels to her look, enhancing said feminine spirit with wavy locks and glossy lips.

Emma Watson In Christian Dior & BOSS – HeForShe Campaign Launch & After-Party

Emma Watson In Christian Dior & BOSS - HeForShe Campaign Launch & After-Party

Emma Watson attended two events on Saturday (September 20) for the HeForShe campaign held at the United Nations in New York City following her appointment as UN Women Goodwill Ambassador.

If I were Emma, when picking out my looks for these events I would’ve been thinking, what would fellow UN ambassador Angelina Jolie do? Tailored, conservative, muted colours and non-revealing.

Emma did all those things, adding chic into the equation.

HeForShe Campaign Launch: The first look was a Dior Resort 2015 heather-grey silk coat dress accented with a Dior silver-metal belt. The asymmetrical hemline adds a modern feel to the classic look, with the impeccable tailoring giving the piece a couture-like feel. Simple black Jimmy Choo ‘Abel’ pumps and Eva Fehren jewels completed her look.

HeForShe VIP After-Party: It may have been a party, but Emma’s look stayed strictly conservative. At first glance this is a classic BOSS LBD; however, the modern elements included a sheer back and skirt for adding subtle allure. The lip was a deep shade of red, with an M2Malletier green clutch also adding a pop of colour. The look was completed with Jimmy Choo ‘Abel’ pumps and a Jennifer Fisher gold choker.

I love how she managed to keep both looks interesting while still event appropriate.

Reese Witherspoon In Christian Dior – ‘The Good Lie’ Washington DC Premiere

Reese Witherspoon In Christian Dior - 'The Good Lie' Washington DC Premiere

Reese Witherspoon attended the ‘The Good Lie’ Washington DC premiere held at The Newseum on Wednesday (September 17) in Washington, DC.

The actress looked divine wearing a Christian Dior ‘Gardenia’ frock.

Exemplary of Dior’s signature ladylike appeal, this stunning design features a bold abstract floral print and asymmetrical skirt to give this frock a modern twist.

Both her Stuart Weitzman ‘Nudist’ sandals and a pretty pink lip epitomise the feminine allure of this look, with sleek straight tresses providing the finishing touches.

I have to say I’m quite taken by this look. She’s on quite a roll since Toronto Film Festival.

Olga Kurylenko In Christian Dior – ‘The November Man’ Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Olga Kurylenko In Christian Dior - 'The November Man' Deauville American Film Festival Premiere

Olga Kurylenko served up a double dose of Dior while promoting her new movie, ‘The November Man’, during the 40th Deauville American Film Festival in France.

Premiere: Graceful, elegant, breathtakingly beautiful – man, these words just never seem to do Olga justice. She stunned once again wearing a Dior Resort 2015 long dress featuring a printed embroidered silk bodice and black silk skirt which skimmed her gorgeous figure. Styled with gold Jimmy Choo sandals and simple stud earrings, this look has me wishing this promo tour would never end.

Photocall: The following day (September 12) the actress opted for yet another Dior Resort 2015 look, selecting a white knitted raffia top and shorts overlaid with a black knitted raffia high-waisted skirt. This look evokes classic glamour with a modern and somewhat playful twist. The white Dior shoes have me firmly on the fence – not because I dislike the colour; I wish they were open toe on this occasion.

Natalia Vodianova & Olga Kurylenko In Christian Dior – Biennale des Antiquaires Pre Opening

Natalia Vodianova & Olga Kurylenko In Christian Dior - Biennale des Antiquaires Pre Opening
Natalia Vodianova and Olga Kurylenko were both in attendance at the ‘Biennale des Antiquaires’ pre opening event at Le Grand Palais in Paris, France on Tuesday (September 9).

Natalia Vodianova: The model maintained her effortless approach to style in a Christian Dior white and black, one-shoulder silk gown that was elegant if safe. A white Dior clutch and glittering black earrings, along with a smoky charcoal eye and natural waves, completed the look.

Olga Kurylenko: Also dressed in Dior, the actress was lovely in a shimmering ivory satin dress with pastel-lavender side panels that reflected the lighting in the room. Her silver Dior clutch and metallic sandals were just as reflective. Glittering jewels, including a lariat necklace, statement cuff and diamond studs, were lovely—but I would have taken at least one piece off.
