Red Carpet Fashion Awards

Taraji P. Henson attended the 2011 Emmy Awards tonight.

As much as I love her, I couldn’t get on board with her Blumarine dress.

Between the exposed bra and the fact that this shapeless dress is doing nothing for her I find myself unimpressed.

She knows she can do better.

Fred Leighton jewels and a Judith Leiber clutch completed her look.

Rose McGowan was literally glowing on the red carpet for the “Conan The Barbarian” LA Premiere last night.

She dazzled wearing a Blumarine Spring 2012 halter sequin gown which is yet to take the runway.

Her aquamarine ombre gown made her look like a beautiful mermaid with pretty pink lips.

I don’t think Rose has ever looked this beautiful or been more breath-taking.

I’m in total awe that I’m gushing profusely.

With her wavy hair swept to one side to show off her Neil Lane earrings, she also accessorized with a Neil Lane large cocktail ring completed her look.

She is most definitely a contender for BDOTW.

Elizabeth Hurley attended Estée Lauder’s Pink Illumination Ball in Johannesburg, South Africa last week in this romantic blush-coloured Blumarine gown.

The event was held to show support for the “SA Look Good…Feel Better” campaign that helps women with breast cancer.

Liz looked gorgeous in the stunning sparkly one-shouldered gown, which features asymmetrical panels weaving across the body and draping into a train of soft feathers.

She added a light pink Marchesa silk rosette clutch and diamond jewels to her look.

I love her soft tousled wavy hair.

Whilst we expect this from Liz, she rarely disappoints in giving us high octane glamour.

The first 19 looks at Blumarine were black, white and grey.

Just when I was going to ask for a refund on my cab fare, the Blumarine I know and love burst into life on the runway.

The models stormed the runway wearing bold primary colours of orange, purple, teal, blue and yellow.

Blumarine presented a clean minimalist collection with clear-cut lines.

I was surprised that no animal prints were used in this collection, as Anna Molinari has never met a leopard or zebra print she didn’t love.

A-line dresses, tunic over flared pants, ribbed turtlenecks, pea coats, trenches and a selection of lace dresses in various colours and lengths will surely keep the Blumarine girl very happy.

Key accessories included shopper bags, ankle strap heels and knee-high boots.

Who I See Wearing This Collection: Paris Hilton, Monica Cruz, Katy Perry and Fergie

Back in July 2010 Paris Hilton wore an animal print Blumarine Fall 2010 dress to the “Supermartxe” party in Ibiza, Spain.

Her dress was modified from the runway version which had a short skirt with a train.

I’m guessing Paris wrapped the dress around herself, because I can still see the short skirt underneath.

Reality star Khloe Kardashian attended the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards wearing the dress as presented on the runway version.

She accessorized with nude Christian Louboutin “Mad Marta” booties and silver accessories.

As a lover of animal print I really love this dress. More so on Paris for her demure approach to this look and her complementary accessories so she wins for me.

Attention Seeker Award
I love animal print as much as the next woman, but I think Khloe Kardashian looked ridiculous at the 2011 Critics’ Choice Awards.

With big sis Kim at the same do, Khloe no doubt wanted to stand out.

Her Blumarine Fall 2010 dress with a flowing train is beautiful, but it’s more suited to a night out in Vegas, the Grammy’s or the MTV Awards rather than a prestigious awards do.

The dress is gorgeous on her, but it didn’t fit the occasion imo.

I’m sure some of you will disagree.

The Top Glamour Awards 2010 took place in Mexico recently.

Spanish actress Elsa Pataky arrived wearing a very sexy Blumarine Fall 2010 dress.

Her chiffon crystal embroidered bustier dress had a flowing chiffon train.

Elsa loves to show off her gorgeous figure, but I’m not surprised she didn’t wear her dress as dangerously short as the model.

Suede embellished heels and bun swept to the side completed her sexy red carpet look.
